  1. Everything is top-notch. It seems somewhat contradictory to have the extra-cost whitewall tires (were the skinny ones available in that year?) and the plain-Jane dog dish hubcaps, but that's just me.
  2. Build convertibles and you won't have to be concerned.
  3. I just paint 'em (after removing any pin marks etc.)
  4. A little bit of dish washing detergent would be a lubricant and allow the tire to slide on more easily. When you're done, just rinse off the soap.
  5. You can also make them with a vacu-form. This tutorial deals with rectangular headlights, but round ones can also be made. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/102571-vacu-formed-headlights/
  6. You appear have all the components to do the testing yourself. Why not experiment on some sprue and let us know how it worked out.
  7. I did an edit on my previous response...you might want to re-read it
  8. Maybe this will help...
  9. Here's how I drill distributor caps. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/101796-drilling-distributor-caps/?tab=comments#comment-1422922 As mentioned above, if the chuck on your drill press is too big for those tiny drill bits, put the bit in a pin vise then put the pin vise in the chuck.
  10. So, back to my original question: is it a Fiero (according to the topic title) or an Oldsmobile (according to the trunk)?
  11. So if I put a Cadillac engine in a '38 Buick the car becomes a Cadillac?
  12. Thus the Impala becomes a Bel Air...lookin' good so far
  13. Very unique! I'm curious...is it a Fiero (according to the topic title) or an Oldsmobile (according to the trunk)?
  14. Lifetime Subscriptions were also covered in this topic... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/142706-lifetime-subscription/?tab=comments#comment-2092100
  15. You might be violating Copyright laws...be careful
  16. That's the same method I use. PLAN B: Flatten the head of a golf tee, add sandpaper, and use it in an electric drill.
  17. Nothing like the old car brochures http://oldcarbrochures.com/
  18. Aww, c'mon...show us a picture
  19. I think the cost of a lifetime subscription should be based on one's age...I'm 76 and not about to pay $150 for what might turn out to a few short years.
  20. I use MS Paint...it comes free with every copy of Windows.
  21. And if you're a veteran, O'Reilly's Auto Parts will give you a 10% discount.
  22. You got all those for $10?
  23. Or you could just re-paint them black (do NOT use an oil-based paint).
