Lee, you always make these smaller scales look so amazing! Between my vision and my shaky hands I have enough trouble with 1/25th scale. Excellent work as always! These look great! I really tried to pick a favorite but I couldn’t. -

Let me first say that I don’t want any vendors names mentioned or implied. I don’t want this to turn ugly. With that being said; What is acceptable turn around time for receiving an order from an aftermarket vendor, excluding shipping of course? I personally think that two months without any contact is too long. I realize that for many this is a part time business. But it is still a business. There is a popular vendor that has great products. Parts usually arrive in two weeks or less. The vendor sends shipping confirmation when shipped. Great service. There have been a few vendors, (some of who aren’t in business anymore) who shipped in a day or two. Excellent service! There are a few seemingly popular vendors that I seem to have bad luck with. One particular vendor’s product is only usable about 50% of the time and doesn’t respond to messages. I’m not on Facebook by the way. Others seem to rave about this one so I have tried a few times with similar results. Another vendor has great products but every order has taken longer and longer. I understand being busy. But, with no communication, and no shipping info, it could have been shipped a month ago and be lost in the mail. Again, I’m not on Facebook. I like old school, I am old school, and I have used vendors that don’t accept paypal and have to wait for my check to clear, but do ship as soon as my check clears. I consider this excellent service as well. I personally think that if an order can’t be gotten out in 4 weeks, then orders need to stop being taken until the vendor can catch up. This is not a rant, please don’t turn it into one. What do you consider acceptable customer service?

A little more progress. The paint turned out pretty slick. I’m have trouble deciding to weather it. It’s hard to believe that it is engine enamel. -

I thought maybe the 4x4 pontoon boat style truck could pull the pickup truck style boat to the water.? -

I don’t think that this one is finished yet. It has been sitting there for months, but I can tell that it is being worked on. As far as what might pull it, maybe something like this? -

I have been looking at this thing for months and didn’t notice that the lower section has been removed until you said that. Of course I have never seen it up close. There is also a doorway cut between the bed and cab. -

They are only wheel and tire halves to fill in the fender. -
I thought that this one might inspire one of you guys to build a model similar to this local creation.

I got the 361 together to go in this one. Around here it was common back in the day for carburetors to be replaced to do away with the governers, and of course there was nothing like a good set of Mallery solid core wires to mess up someone’s tv reception as you drove by. I would have went with black wires, but I’ve had this distributor for close to 20 years, so I figured I would use it. The carb came from the parts box. -

Looks great! I’m sure that you will find more flaws with the first coat of primer on one of my builds than you will on one of yours.?
