  1. Just a guess. AMT tooled it that way because: 1. They were just taking shortcuts to use an already existing kit, and they chose not use Dual Rims. 2. Somebody thought is looked 'cooler' and 'Coolness' was a 'Thing' back then in the marketing of kits. 3. Got me! I can't think of any other reasons.
  2. Try looking over at the "Modeling Madness" website. Scott Van Aken who runs it, is in St Louis. He might know. https://modelingmadness.com/index.htm
  3. Yeah, John, a Jimmy is certainly possible given the interchangeability of both 1/1 and Monogram Squarebody trucks. I may need to acquire one of those '76 Stepsides my self.
  4. What irks me? Noisy & Needy Amazon Parrots. The minute I get up, he starts calling for me.
  5. John Shoe, that is a great I idea. But, use the recent '76 Stepside kit in order to get the proper stock engine, rather than the '57 Fuelie Intake that is on the GMC Snowplow truck. That will get you the stock suspension and hood, plus some stock Chevy wheels. That will get you the closest to a stock Blazer, although it will still be topless.
  6. Ah. Thanks for answering my questions.
  7. The Blazer Pulldozer! Can anyone confirm that the Pulldozer is coming Back?
  8. Looks like the SBC, with new Valve Covers, from where I sit.
  9. Tom, my wife uses those glasses. Can I give you a tip? If you are not a regular Glasses Wearer, go back and buy Ten Bucks worth, and just hold onto them. You will find yourself misplacing them and sometimes stepping on them. If you have a few put away, there will be no Drama when something happens late Sunday Night when the stores are closed. (ask me how I know) Cheers, and Good Luck. Nice to see that the Print has gotten bigger, isn'y it? Alan
  10. I'll never own another American branded car. Toyota, Honda, Hyundai or Kia are my go to cars. Realistically, though, I may never purchase another car. My 2014 Toyota Sienna is probably the last car I'll ever own.
  11. 1973 Audi 100 4 door sedan. I bought it in 1981 from a good friend of my Dad's. (Some Friend.) He moved 2 weeks after selling me this turkey, and at 18, I had no idea how to work on this Germanic Back Birth. It had inboard Disc Brakes mounted next to the front transaxle. You could barely see them, let alone reach them to change the pads. When it ran, it handle well enough, and it was my first experience with FWD, but keeping it running was a PITA. Being German, and part VW, it had the same Horsehair stuffed seats that VW's had and the same damp, rotting smell that old VW's get. I paid $500.00 for it, drove it (when it ran) for about 6 months, and paid the Junk Yard $200.00 to haul it off. Worst Car by Far, in a lifetime of so-so cars. (The 383 powered '65 New Yorker, was a close second)
  12. Wow! What a nifty little race car. You really did it justice, and nailed the period vibe on this car.
  13. Thanks, Steve. For those that want this kit, the new version will be great. It would be great is Round2 would toss in a sprue from on of the newly tooled Garage kits as a Bonus, since this kit is a curbside, but that may very well be a bridge too far. As it is, it will be a nice kit.
  14. Mike, thanks for the info on the lights. They look superb!
  15. Thanks, for looking, Tim. That '36 is a killer machine.
  16. I really like this build, Tim. That paint is a Homerun.
  17. I know the Convertible has a 409. Does the 2-Door share the engine? And does anybody have a link to the instruction sheet to the Foose Version of the kit?
  18. Thanks, Snake, I will.
  19. The kit has almost always included both Round and Square headlights, although they were often marked as 'Stock' & 'Custom'. It will be really interesting to see what decals & tires are included this time.
  20. It will have fresh Tires, and Decals. If we are really lucky, Round2 will throwing something extra, but I would not count on it.
  21. Other than the fact that Scalemates is wrong more often, than it is correct, I'd believe you. Being Crowd Sourced, I've seen Corrections made by folks who know, and have the proper history, changed by the next guy in line, who doesn't know what he doesn't know, back to incorrect inormation. Until Scalemates can put a stop to this Crowd Sourced silliness, it is near worthless as a reference.
  22. MikeModeler, can you buy a couple of the Superfly or Sweathog's Dream Machine Gran Prix kits? That would fulfill my re-popped kit desires, nicely! Thanks!
  23. YES ! YES ! YES ! MSRP is spooky, but better'n bidding/buying on eBay. I hope that the pitch-black tinted 'glass' goes away... Alright!! Fantastic news!
