Great Work, Johnny! For an "Outside your Wheelhouse" build, it sure looks good! Good Show. -
Great News! and you won't have to pay the Movers to pack and move your stuff!! I like how it looks, but I can't do a Two-Storey house any more. Enjoy it!

A two part, First World Irk! 1. Ultrashort power cords on Small Countertop Appliances. Since the Safety-for-All folks decided that small appliances (mixers, blenders, toasters, can openers, small grills, and such-like) are at risk of causing Death and Destruction from the long cords getting tangled or causing mayhem some other way, now all the S.C.A.s have ridiculously short cords. My Small George Foreman Knock-off grille has an 11" cord. So short, I can barely Plug it in to use. The Can Opener? A generous 14" long cord. My house was built in the 1980's and "Blessedly" has huge counters. But, these new appliances can only be plugged in at a couple of outlets. Most of the outlets are on the backsplash (as is normal) but the counters are so wide, that you can barely reach to use the appliance. A minor, but continuously frustrating Irk. 2. Modren Distracted Drivers.....All of a sudden, folks (esp. in left Turn Lanes) are leaving a whole car length between cars. It really makes getting a left turn harder. I've had to wait a whole 10 seconds for a car to clear in front of me before I can turn. 10 seconds sounds like nothing, but many of our local Left Turn lanes are calibrated for on 35-40 seconds. I see it at regular lights now too, much more frequently than I used to. Folks stop 10' away from the crosswalk, and never pull forward. I see lots of drivers, stop at a light, and then look down at their phones. Some times these same drivers, then miss the light when it turns green......(argh) However, I don't see phones all the time. I think many drivers, are just worse than they used to be. Distracted, Not paying attention, or just plain old Bad Drivers. There sure seem to be more of them......

I've got Two. The first is for any American Hotrod. The Second is for Tuners, or Hot Hatches. 1. Centerlines, Auto Drag. 2. Borbet Type "O". -

Beautiful Work so far! -
In our family, we call call them "Hangsters". Had a few as pets when the kids were little. Glad that era of pets is over with. They can be fun pets.

A "Scalding Hott" engine. In Aviation they were used in many aircraft, but never liked. The Nickname "Scalding Hott" was one of the family safe names they were called. I've read a couple others that were unprintable. In Trucks & Busses though, they had very long service lives, and were used in many, many places. -
How Great is that, Topher! I hope your business thrives!

A big part of my beef too.

To Follow up on Shon's comment. I'm in for buying more copies of kits I already own and have built. But at $40.00+ a copy,I need a bit of something extra to confirm the decision. I can buy second hand AMT '53 Pickups all day long at shows for $15.00-$25.00 all day long. The same is true for other tooling that has been on the shelves often. So, throw a bone besides just new decals. That little sprue of Chrome 5 Spokes is a welcome Extra. NIce to have at least 8 tires too. The Rupp Mini-bike in the '78 Dodge Pickup. The Chopper in the new Revell '29 Ford Roadster Pickup. The trailers in the '63 Chevy Wagon and the pair of '68 Mopars. Something! At least in my own Mind, I need a "Hook" to help nudge the 'Buy/Not Buy' button over. Extras help the nudge. I'm down from buying 30-35 kits a year five years ago to 8-10 per year. Higher Costs, a growing stash, and a slowing build rate have taken a toll on my buying habits. I need more and more reasons to justify a purchase to myself. New Tooling is a big draw of course, but even then I'm much more selective in what I finally decide to spend my budget on. So Steve, and the guys at Round2, nostalgia works but it is frankly beginning to wear a bit thin on certain tools. (the '53 Ford being one). Having 3 versions of the '53 Ford on the Plan-o-gram at Hobby Lobby doesn't help things. (Mod Stock Hauler, Coke Machine Truck, and standard release) uses up shelf space that could hold other kits. I'm not sure how to fix this, but evergreen tooling needs a 'boost' to open my wallet.

The V.A. (Veteran's Administration, who provides my health care) only calls once. Miss a message (and I've missed a few) and you never hear from them again. Since the V.A. is just now using 20th Century technology, they use only Landline Phones for Official Business, in most cases. So I seldom get texts from them. (Well, certain Doctors will send texts, but that's not the Drones who make most of the phone calls)

What pleased me today? Something I'm ashamed to admit. After 5 years, I've figured out how consistently check the Voice Mail on my phone. I could do it, by accident, but never when I wanted to. I've fixed that. Now I can check it when I want. Baby Steps....
