Worst airplanes and helicoptors ever made
stavanzer replied to gbdolfans's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I did not know that Air Classics was still around. I'll need to dig up that copy. The Aero-Bullet was easily the worst American plane ever built. -

I'll submit this one. http://www.aviastar.org/air/usa/christmas_bullet.php https://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/the-christmas-bullet-was-the-worst-plane-ever-made-1825187889 The Christmas Strutless biplane. Easily one of the worst planes ever built. Two Built. Two Take-offs. Two crashes. Two Dead Pilots. Horrible plane. -
Maybe a Base Impala Drag Car?

And think of the Cross Kit possibilities with the Two door. I'll bet Round2 is aware of them as well. I will guess that by Dec 2021 (two years from now),there will be a "new" kit of the 2 door as well. Not sure how it will be marketed, but I am pretty sure that we will see something like that.

Brewster had the 'reverse-Midas touch'. Everything they tried eventually went to Shi%. Knowing what we know now, about the 'Deep State" and Money Laundering, I'd be little surprised to discover that the Brewster organization was a "Front" for other, things, and that after the first Gov't Contract was awarded, things just went downhill. It was never intended to be a viable concept, and then the war happened, and Brewster was caught in the financial crossfire. Mind you, this is not a slander for the many fine people who worked for them before and during the war. Talented workers gave their best, even if the company was a shambles. -
No, the stock "Gangbusters" Van. the remains of the '32 Chevy live on as a Roadster kit.

Those Rims/Tyers make the Model work. I like them for this build. -

Yea, I agree with you, Tom. I'd like to see a gentle purge of board members. Say, anyone who has not posted since 2010? That would be generous enough to lurkers who come back after a break in the hobby.

Mine too, LOL! I'm already in for the Pinto Popper and the Fire Chief Car.

You have seen the Revell 1990 LX kit, I'm sure. https://www.amazon.com/Revell-Mustang-5-0-Plastic-Model/dp/B00DCCF5MQ Not sure how it differs from the GT., but it might be a good start.

Isn't it about time for Shad to gift us with the first video from 2020? I am truly Curious to see how Round2 starts 2020.

IMC/Lindberg Cougar II Glue Bomb Rescue (Attempt)
stavanzer replied to Snake45's topic in Model Cars
Snake, great rescue. The car now looks like a cleaned-up Barn Find. You know, when they pull a Barn Find out, and wash it up before the auction. The faded spots and paint changes all make it look like a survivor. If I wanted to create that look, I could not. And you nail it! Good Show. -
Now that is a sharp Build! I really like the "extra Foose engine" comment. Revell wishes we ALL had a few extra Foose pickups laying around!
-
Wow! What a flawless, beautiful build.

Excellent Paint Colour for the Body. I especially like the triangular fuel tank! Wheel choice is perfect, but I'd have chosen narrower front tires. And, That Air Scoop is Superb! Easily one of the most Eye Catching features of the kit. Great Build.

Nope. I don't see it.

It's happened again, for me. Snake there is no visible difference in the two photos you posted. (other than the presence of the hood, that is). I don't see what the rest of you folks see. I guess that is why these body shape error discussions puzzle me so much. Even when circled in red, I cannot make out what the heck is bothering so many builders about the shapes of kits. They all LITERALLY look alike to me. Well, Model On! !

A mechanic friend of mine showed me the set-up he used to remove spark plugs for a 1980's Ferrari. It involved one 3/8th ratchet handle, 3 extensions of various lengths, two u-joints and a sparkplug socket. A homemade Thin Wall socket as nothing off the shelf would fit in the spark plug holes. This explained why he was now a Honda mechanic.

Can you share any info on the Yellow Model T in the Case? Is it the ICM kit, or something else? -

Not Normal, as it sounds like your order was placed before the Holiday Rush. Can you call them? -

VRM 427 Cobra decals - will we ever see them?
stavanzer replied to vamach1's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I'd like a set as well. But, I'm not sure that this company will ever follow through with this. It is no big deal in the course of things, really.
