  1. Those had better be some A1 decals. Putting those on Beaded Panel sides is going to be a real trick.
  2. So. The Newly tooled Stock Ford Hubcaps from the Cruisin' Van, and some new decals and Coke Goodies, and you have a whole new kit. Now, THAT is what I call 'leveraging an asset'! Good Show, Kats at Round2!!
  3. Yeah, I want one to try to build a Faux-Sreet Machine. Carbs but no blower and a pair of front seats, with treaded tires out back. It won't be at all accurate, but it does sound like a lot of Fun!
  4. HobbyTown USA will soon be spared the whole Franchise Fee issue. That will be because the folks running corporate are still locked into the old business mindset. At some point soon, the number of stores open, will be too small to sustain the huge Franchise Fees, dropping below the minimum required just to run Corp HQ. At that point the whole deal will collapse into bankruptcy and we will hear a sob story or two from the CEO of the failed chain, lamenting that after raising fees to overcome shortfalls from constantly closing stores, the whole thing died because customers weren't spending enough money. Poor Management will never be publically mentioned.
  5. I did not know any of that about the side markers. Learn something new every day. Thanks.
  6. I saw a Real One in a similar colour, on the road home, after Mass on Sunday. It could have been this one, they are that close. You nailed the look completely.
  7. Maybe they will at least include a choice on Induction Systems. Both the Blown and High Rise Twin Carb intakes are cool, and would allow models to be finished in different Classes. Hoping that there might be some optional wheels too.
  8. Hooray! Need one of these for sure.
  9. If you use the '50 hood, you'll need to trim it to fit the '49 grille. Not a problem, though as, the OLD AMT thoughtfully molded a guideline, on the backside of the '50 hood, showing you where to trim it to fit.
  10. So, will the new Full Bumper Camaro, allow you to build a Mainstreamer Camaro with a Straight 6 motor?
  11. Great Idea, David. I have a couple of spare dashes that can supply the pedals.
  12. Looks just like the ones sitting in my yard at work. I'll need one of these for sure.
  13. Is that enamel Air Brushed or Spray Can? The Enamel really looks sharp. P.S. White Stripes if you decide to use them. I'd go with no stripes if it were mine.
  14. Man, picture is just too far away. You can see the new parts, but not very clearly. Update. Never Mind. I figured it out. It does up size.
  15. Great Photos, Bill. That Sidewinder is a fantastic period piece.
  16. You are right, that Flat Earth looks much better. Harmonizes better with the Sand colour. Looks like I'll need to add a Clutch Pedal to mine, and narrow the brake.
  17. Man, another Must Have Kit from Round2. The CHP Push Bar is a great upgrade as well. I could also wish for re-tooled hub caps, but that may be a bridge too far. Either Way, I'm happy.
  18. All of you guys in SoCal, stay Alert, and stay Safe. Evacuate when the tell you to. Don't wait around. This Fire looks to be growing and changing fast. Could be very bad before it is over. NorCal, I hope the power is coming back on for you. PG&E, has been real quiet this morning, so I'm not hearing much about how the Power Re-Energizing is going. I hope there are no losses other than food in the freezer. Alan
  19. Sorry, Gary, I get no pics either.
  20. Any hope of getting a longbed stepside bed, eventually? I need one for a '61 Chevy.
  21. Now get a sheet of glass cut to fit the top. Or, another way of protecting it, use Masonite, or Sheet Steel.
  22. Walt, Dave Van can answer your last question better than I, but everything Dave, Tim Boyd, Mark B. and others have said indicate that while the Companies seldom (if ever) comment, they are aware of and sometime read directly comments, on these modeling forums. But all Model Companies are 'Market Driven' and "Model Forum Commenters", do not represent much of the market sadly. So, While they may be aware of us(collectively) we don't pack much influence. So What to do? I'd recommend just saving up and buying an original kit. Glue-bombs can be had at less than nose-bleed prices, and you can save up all year and by a mint(ish) kit for X-mas. I have now done that for a couple of kits, and will be starting a Fund for my Monogram Landrover next year. $20.00 bucks a month, and I'll have the $80.00 to $100.00 for the kit by Thanks Giving. A worthy goal.
  23. Very Smooooth Custom. The Colour is perfect, and the mods are flawless. What a sharp car.
