  1. That Green really Pops! Great Choice!
  2. Yeah, but it was nice to see some of the history of our Members.
  3. Back in the 1980's Scale Auto did an article on a "Plodge" a Canadian, Dodge/Plymouth Mash up done with Johan Kits, IIRC. Involved cutting the front end off one Promo, and transplanting on the another Kit. It was an Excellent Conversion, and I wanted to due one, but I had no budget to buy two (even for the time) expensive Johan Kits to cut up.
  4. Bringing this back to the Top. Great Reading about Many Forum Members. Some of them still post here. It was fun to read the Life Stories of our members.
  5. I'll Chime In, about Model Roundup. I have had nothing but Great Service from them. And Spotlight Hobbies. Only one deal with them, but When a Kit Body was broken, they replaced it. {1960 Johan Plymouth Wagon, no less. And Tom sent me a spare body for it, no problem} But, Spotlight has "Improved" their Sales Listings Pages, and I find the new layout they use makes it very hard for me to browse the kits for sale the way the webpage is now set up. Your experience may be much different than mine.
  6. I've never seen a steel 4 Lug Rim. 4 Lug Mags, but that is all.
  7. Oh, Yeah. We were even promised one of these back in the 1990s. AMT, I think.
  8. Decals from Original Mach Won.
  9. Now, Combine that with the Recent Mercury M-100 and do a Canadian Version. At least that was my first thought.
  10. The Hemi What?
  11. I understand That, Dave. My critique, was based more on how they are doing things, rather than what they are doing. I have no doubts they are good people, and have Great Ideas. My beef basically boils down to,"Don't Want to be Seen as Untrustworthy Noobs, don't act like Noobs". The Picture was fine. The Vagueness wasn't. As I said before, the Target Customer for their Business is old enough to Remember Johan kits, and even owns some. They need to show what is on offer, in order to open wallets. Non-specific testimonials, from Other Buyers of their products, probably isn't enough to move the needle. Yet. It will be in the future, I suspect.
  12. Indeed, Robert, I agree with you completely.
  13. The T-tops in this kit fit poorly. (Just like the real ones...) And I for one, would be happy to see the altered mold stay this way going forward. There are plenty of the T-top kits on the secondary market, and it very nice to have the Coupe.
  14. I'd say yes, Luc. Tow rig from '85, trailer & load from '99. Easily seen in many neighborhoods here in the U.S. Would be a great load.
  15. Beauty, Eh!
  16. I was thinking of this, but the wetbikes are cool too.
  17. Ace is correct. I have destroyed a couple of Older (1970's) Revell kits with brake fluid. It might have been that Revell's famously Bad plastic was the problem, but I cured me of Brake Fluid. Have you tried L.A. Awesome, as a stripper?
  18. The target buyer for these kits is 80% old Mossy Horns who are too Savvy to be roped. The rest are Younger. That said, despite the Glowing Recommendation by Ron Hamilton a name I have recognized & trusted for years, this Facebook Only, Coy Statements, and Big Talk, is insulting to wary buyers who have been burned by other companies with Lots of Big Talk, and terrible Follow Through. Are You offering Ultra High Quality, resin replicas, of Long Lost Johan kits? Great! Show Us the contents of your kits. Doing business on Facebook without a Website gives the impression that you can't or won't do so. Hardly a way to build trust. There are reasonably useful Free Websites, I think you should use one. If 17 year girls on Tik Tok can get websites, you should too. I have read most of what has been posted of this Board about Atomic City. It sounds like Great Guys, with good ideas. But business wise, some body doesn't seem to paying attention. Teaser photos are acceptable, but Tell us what It is, more than just identifying the car. "A Detailed Resin Copy of a rare Johan Kit, This Curbside Kit Contains all the parts needed to assemble the car shown." 21 Words, One Comma, One Period. Does what it needs. Good Luck.
  19. Now, That is a great Idea! Thank You.
  20. I saw that. He needs to be Horsewhipped. But, sadly, it may be too late already to fix him.
  21. Just Why is it hard to look at?
  22. I have lots of Airplane Kits. But, I was never going to build those kits, because (Rare & Valuable) and the man I gave them to is a much better builder than I am, and would appreciate them more. So, it was easy to give them to him.
