1992 Ford F-150 XL Work Truck
stavanzer replied to av405's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
I really Like where you are going with this. Keep up the Good Work. Nice to know about those Base Wheels. -
Went in to work at 8am. Had a Conference with The Boss & His Wife (she handles all personnel and payroll issues) at 9am Was laid off and out the door by 10am. This place has been one of the worst places I have ever worked for, but I did not expect this.... I'll not miss it, but looking for work in 106 deg, heat is no fun.

Ford and Ferguson had a Fraught and Complex relationship, but the Heller Ferguson is closer to the 9N than you think. Of course, they are not alike, as you point out. But, some scratch building and conversion work could get you close to a Ford-Ferguson. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_N-series_tractor

The Grille Conversion, gets the first look, but the modern Colour and the Camper Shell are the real Show Stoppers for me. Great Build. Good Show. -

Shim the Monogram Rolls Royce Straight 6 block wider, scratch build a New Valve Cover, and Intake and go that way. My only idea.....

What part of "It's part of the Lease" is hard to understand? I checked my stash Marty. I do not have any. And Like others, I had to dich 4 more cans myself. I'm sorry I could not Help. Doesn't MCW Put paint in spray cans? Or was that somebody else. I remember seeing the ads in SAE years ago.

This is really looking great. Your Detail work on the engine is awesome. Can't wait to see this finished.

Awesome Details. I really like the Tire Chains, and Ski racks.

Chopped, Channeled Tracknose '32 Tudor Sedan
stavanzer replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in WIP: Model Cars
So, how is the Original kit coming? -
A Good Start! That is a great Chop. I want to see where this goes.

I really like how this is coming along. The Colour is great!

Hood Fit can be dodgy. Make sure the body, hood and fenders all fit the way you want before painting. (Don't ask how I know this..) Kit is nice, but is old tooling, so some fits can be soft. The AMT '32,36, and 40 Ford Kits all use the same engine Mounting points, so you can swap in the xtra engine from any of these kits, if you do not want to use the Buick, that is in the kit. The '36 Has a Pontiac, the '32 Vicky/Touring has a Killer Ford 427, and the '32 Coupe has a 283 Small Block Chevy. And the '32 Roadster has a really neat Blown Hemi. You will like the kit. Have fun and make your dad proud.

HPI Guy did a build of this kit too, with all the 21st Century add-ons to the base kit you started with. (Decals, Extra Chrome parts, Printed Tires)

Still looking very Nice.

Looking Great, Bruce. You are fortunate to be able to build these.

Comparison of Yodel and MPC Dodge Monacos
stavanzer replied to ABC Auto Industry's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
You can add one more Yodel Kit. I've never seen it in person, but It Looks pretty neat. Even had a spoiler! https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/yodel/yodel-big-american-/
