  1. I can't seem to find this silver one either, but I did find enough that I am submitting an answer. Congratulations Bill, I think you might have found an image that doesn't exist on Google.
  2. Out of curiosity, Where does the Lindberg 34 Roadster Pickup fall into this. Is it the same chassis tooling with a roadster cab? I have several of the closed cab versions, but have never had a roadster version. If it is all different tooling, is it a decent kit?
  3. Does anybody have box top pictures of all the different version of the 34 over the years? Maybe a chronological picture history. I have seen a couple threads like this with details. One was for the 70's Dodge trucks and another for the 70 Chev/GMC trucks.
  4. Very cool build.
  5. I've been a fan of this manufacturer for a long time. Knew it as soon as I saw the picture, just had to find the correct year. But as GTJUNIOR said, this one may be difficult for some. PM sent.
  6. I'm close to the same way Greg, I could put it back in the box for a later build, but I just can't put a model in the trash. Just can't do it. On a better note, I hope to have this car clear coated this weekend.
  7. Funny, I found two of these in my stash recently that I have had since the early 90's. Both un-built and in there Tamiya boxes. Good luck on the rebuild.
  8. Well, I got this car out of the purple pond a few weeks ago and thought I had it all painted and ready for clear coat. I had it all taped up to spray the "silver", and thought it was looking great. While peeling my tape off, I dropped it on a concrete floor. Made a large chip in the black paint and cracked the glue line loose part way around where the top glues to the body. I re-glued it and gave it a little touch up paint where it chipped, will see if I can wet sand it out. Losing motivation with this one pretty fast though. It might need to go back in the box for a few years. Pics, when I have some positive progress.
  9. Ace, That car was not easy to find. Kinda an oddball. I like it.
  10. Ken, You certainly are not making this very easy on us the last few weeks. Answer submitted, Found a few really cool web pages in my searches for this.
  11. Ya, I wonder about the purple pond option sometimes though. Between the cost of the pond, a couple cans of primer, and a couple cans of paint. I could have bought a new kit. Put the leftover bits in the parts box and moved on. But we are modelers, throwing away styrene just can't be done. Car has been removed from the pond, bondo work has been redone and body is back in primer. Might see some progress this weekend.
  12. WOW, that one was a challenge. Answer submitted.
  13. Just out of curiosity since I am fairly new the auto ID game here, have any of them gone unanswered/unsolved? While I figured out the last two fairly easily, this one is proving to be a real challenge.
  14. Here is my disaster of a 36 progress. Pic of the look that I am going for. This might be my first two tone, separation line turned out very well. Then two problems occured. I was wet sanding it before clearcoat and realized that the silver flake color should not be sanded, went ahead and clear coated it anyways hoping it might clear up the lines in the silver, didn't work. Then the next day as the clear dried, adhesive residue from when I taped it for the two tone started showing through despite being wet sanded and washed. Anyways, it has now taken it's second bath in the purple pond. Third times a charm, right!!!
  15. Here is a kit I started several years ago that I decided to finish up. For a basic kit, it sure needed a lot of work on a few things. This particular kit has a lifted suspension(poorly designed blocks at the frame), and when AMT lifted it, they did not include correct length drivelines, and the front shocks fitment was terrible. The brush guard is shaped for the headlights of the 73-79 grill. The rollbar leans way forward if not modified. The cab to bed spacing is still not to my satisfaction, and those horrible molded in grooves in the bed. Ohh, and the darn hood is warped just a little and every attempt to fix it now is making the hood scoop cutout lines on the underside show through. I knew of a few of these issues when I started it and fixed several of them. I have another one of these to build someday. Maybe I will fix the little things that bugged me about this one.
  16. Looking good Steve. I too really like the Revell Willys kit. I have only built one(modern tool) kit so far, but have at least four more in the stash of kits. I do want to try my hand at and old(opening door) kit again sometime though.
  17. Haven't seen one of these in years. One of my dad's co-workers used to drive one to work. Along with having a couple more out back for parts.
  18. I like to take a piece of 3/32" evergreen and glue it to my part in a spot that will not show when the part is installed on the model. It creates a tiny handle, then just cut it off before installing the part onto the model. For slightly larger parts, a piece of scrap sprue also works excellent and save the evergreen supply.
  19. Looking much better with the level ride height, even though I was hoping to see you keep the lower rear height and get the front lower. That height would make an excellent "driver".
  20. Looking much better, I would vote for 2mm lower in the front though. Rear height is perfect.
  21. Wow, that's one heck of a return. More than one per month is pretty good in my book.
  22. Joe, I am betting thast this thread is what you are looking for in regards to the front corrections. Ohh, I think I am against the majority on this kit, ?I like it gasser style. But that is from memories of this kit make in middle school in the early eighties.
  23. For some reason, I really like the off-road charger. Excellent work on all your builds.
  24. While I don't disagree with you guys about the snap kits, I think that the kid has already picked out a couple of kits that he is interested in and "just wants to build". Let him build a couple gluebombs, let him get a taste of the hobby without stressing him over perfect paint or minimal glue usage. He will be proud of them without paint and want to come back for more. If you the add stress and complication of paint, they go back to video games. Once they have enjoyed assembling a couple gluebombs, they will start asking about how to paint.
