  1. It was originally about seeing how many would be interested in buying a kit. My friend asked me what i'd like to see as a kit, so I sent him the posted four suggestions, and told him that I bet people would really like a V8 Esprit, instead of the VERY fiddly Monogram kit being our only option. I told him i'd inquire to see if it was worth his time to do a very short production run of them.
  2. Well, bud, first off, i'm loving how this is progressing, and secondly, there are at least 15 different kinds of Carbon Fiber, with different kolors, and looks. For my Pagani Huayra build, I used a metallic black that had a bit of gold flake in it (Duplicolor Universal Metallic Black), but I have seen others do mixes of metallic grays too. Ich Will is someone who has a really nice CF kolor to ask about as well. Also, thanks for following my stuff, and i'm glad I can help!!
  3. Look forward to seeing your Camaro!!!
  4. LOL, thanks, bud!!, I will also be building a 1970 Firebird that John Wayne drove in "Mc Q"!
  5. I can clearly see the lines/ layers all over the 3D parts....especially those valve covers. It might be "there" for you, but not even close for me!....photos usually hide many things, imagine if I saw that in person!!
  6. Looks like it to me too, that hood is pretty SICK!!!
  7. Looks VERY cool!!!!
  8. This is still looking GREAT!!!!, Great idea with that roll bar decal!!!
  9. Work of art!!!!! what did you use for the seatbelt material?
  10. These cars are so different, you gotta love them! -they look OUTSTANDING, bud!!!!
  11. BEAUTIFUL Chevelle, bud!!!!, love that kolor too!!!!
  12. Surfs-up, Brau!!!!!...….sweet little sand truck, Pat!!!!
  13. BRILLIANT build, bud!!!!, this is a perfect example of how something simplistic, and normally average could have you staring at it saying; "Theres something different about that little truck.....might not wanna race it", lol
  14. What a MONSTER, bud!!!!…...cant wait to see more!!!
  15. Doing a FANTASTIC job here!!!, I think you may have convinced me to get this kit, but i'd have to change the back end of it...lol
  16. Off to a great start, bud!!! I too use a similar way to paint CF....there are at least 15 different kinds...all with different looks, and sheens.
  17. It is looking soooo cool!!!
  18. You are doing an amazing job with it!!!! i'm not really into building race cars -I prefer road cars with less visual stimulation -sometimes even Shelby stripes are too much for me, lol The fact that I still like the looks of certain race cars, causes me to build them as road cars too, whether it was actual, or not....my artistic brain takes over, lol I'm with you in making people cringe, I have a Porsche 917, Lancia 037, and an FXXK that will all be road cars when i'm done!....keep up the great work!!
  19. Glad to see this one again, bud!!, that has to be the strangest tranny I've ever seen! Your build is looking FANTASTIC!!!!! I too have noticed that I cant edit my posts anymore.....I use to change the title every so often, but it wont let me anymore....its annoying.
  20. This is looking BEAUTIFUL, bud!!!! What a great cause to support!!, we have a VA hospital here that has models brought in for vets to help them. Modelling has always been medicine to me, although I had a really bad spell for 4 years that I wasn't building. Got so depressed that several times I was ready to just give everything away. Thankfully, God had a different plan, he hooked me up with a lovely wife who also builds, a doctor who actually cares, and guys like you who give me inspiration.....thanks for helping me get back to building!!!!….every day is a struggle, but its easier with the great people I've met!!!!
  21. Thanks, a lot, bud!!, I will be posting an in-depth build of one here, relatively soon! I use to be into getting all the metal, and PE/ detail-up parts I could find, then I saw AFX's work, and decided that I want to keep my builds as "pure" as possible, so I decided to build my bits in plastic first, and if it works.....GREAT!!, if not, then I will use whatever it takes to do the job. Recently, I've been noticing how most builders SB their hinges, by using bulky metal in unrealistic shapes, and sizes, and made some myself out of plastic that are way closer to a factory look, and are still strong enough to function!...even a set of Mopar hood hinges I made for a friend functioned quite well!! Don't get me wrong, i'm NOT getting down on people for using whatever they want to build.....I Love checking they're work out, but this is the way I've decided to build myself.
  22. Thanks, bud!!...much appreciated!!
  23. Thanks, Sonny!, I should have some new photos VERY soon, as well as photos from my friends.....FINALLY, lol
