  1. Just because its not rare, or expensive, doesn't mean it cant be someone elses "Grail" kit.....technically, they are not all the same, there is a "Special one" that is extremely hard to find, that includes a huge PE set, but doesn't mention it, its kit No.9, I know because I have one, and a few of the other ones.
  2. Sorry, I didn't mean to discourage anyone, Kurt.....i'd still build it again !
  3. Excellent job!!!, every situation needs its own technique, and this was the best one for this situation!
  4. its a FANTASTIC build that you did there!!
  5. Sorry, bud, but ya, its the ONLY one I cant like......looks like an elephant sat on the front end. The Gamballa is horrible too.....looks VERY heavy and sloooooow, lol
  6. VERY good point!!….also, there IS a difference between a Model Show, and a CONTEST......put it in the show.....a contest is ONLY for people who do their OWN work to be judged on how THEY built it.
  7. Thought more about it for a while...……..yup, it STILL bothers me. Related to this story or not, its still WRONG, and letting things like this mentality going on, breeds MORE questionable actions and moralities, until before you know it, it went from "Its okay to enter someone elses model to; its okay that my parents do my homework, to; its okay if he does all my work while I get paid to be lazy, to; its okay if I leech-off people...………………" til eventually youre a real piece of s..t, or some kind of criminal. That mentality needs to be STOPPED.
  8. NICE!!, I have been checking out your shop online....VERY impressive!! I need to oreder one of your 1/24 Carey Grant figures, a sitting, and standing German Shephard, I would also love to find a couple of 1/24 John wayne figures....any ideas?
  9. Thanks, Atin!, mine too! I still have a Fujimi one to do soon, and another one of these that WILL have a fully detailed engine bay.
  10. Hallo, Tommy!, guten tag!....wie gehts es ihnen? Ich haben zweite Koenigs bald.....
  11. I loved those builds!, I tried to build for others, but couldn't do it....wasn't getting any of my own done, which was bumming me out. To me, modelling is ART, and I cant force it, or which car to build, and people NEVER wanted me to build them something that I liked, so it was horrible for me......so I stopped. Tommy was saying that he prefers dark blue Ferrari 250 California Spyders, as opposed to my Champeign colored one, so I told him to check yours out!
  12. Do you still have those two BEAUTIFUL MFH Ferrari F40 twins?!!
  13. This is Magic!!….I think I need to find one of these kits to go with my 66......VERY inspirational, bud!!!
  14. Thanks, Rooster!, I will try to find some for you in a bit...
  15. Wow!, this is off to a great start!!, and those taillights are insanely awesome!!! -are, or were you in the military stationed in Germany?
  16. Thanks, Atin!, here is how I scribe, and pipe my interiors..... -Photo 1; I first start by making a few passes wth my #11 where I want to scribe, and this gives either one of my next two scribing tools, a line to stay in. For interior scribing, I only use the top two. The Hardened steel punch in the pin vise works EXTREMELY well!!, and can go through curves and turns WAAAAAY better than designated tools!! -Photo 2; I started off using this Tamiya cement, after bending it where it needed to go, then I flooded the solder in place with it. This worked really good, but I think its only because I had the trim in a groove, because while final sanding a few days later, I popped one out by accident. That's when I decided to go over one side of all of the pipping with my Plasti-Zap. It has a bit of capillary flow, but not much. If you carefully add glue, then wipe with your fingers along the trim quickly, then it works a treat, without the glue showing.....since it dries fast, and hard. Note: I know its a lot more work, but I think I will keep doing it this way, since it worked so well, and I know that most people just glue wire straight to the part without the groove, but to me this is less stressful...harder to screw up, and looks more realistic to me. I will still be starting with the Tamiya quick set, since it gives you more time to position it, then, i'll hit it with the Plasti-Zap to seal the deal. If you start off using a super glue, its there , and when you try to straighten it, it will only bend at sharp angles, which looks wrong. Also, DONT try to be perfect when scribing, and pipping!!...it looks far more realistic when its NOT perfect! -Hope this helps!
  17. Thanks, Rico!, we all have to start somewhere, picking up tricks as we go.....look forward to seeing your work!!
  18. really?!!, I will be building mine as soon as one of my current 8 are done, and that wont be long.....a month at the most, and if I build one of mine without needing parts, I will trade you if you want....
  19. Hey, Thomas!, Alex Kustov here did a VERY nice dark blue one!
  20. Don't know how I missed this, but you are right, Protars, which I do own, and happen to like ALOT, are being reboxed by other companies.
  21. That was one BRILLIANT save!!!....CONGRATS!!!! -When I need to remove a stubborn decal, I like to stick regular masking tape to it til it comes off. Always works great for me, and its fast, and easy.
  22. Thanks, Atin!
