  1. Looks great! Would have taken me a couple of tries to get that lettering done in the correct order!
  2. Holy moly. THat is stunning.
  3. Looks great! Is that canopy scratchbuilt?
  4. Awesome! What kit did you start with on this one?
  5. I'm having this trouble the past couple of days. I can't respond to most threads in the off topic area. Community Builds and Off Topic seem to be a no go for me.
  6. Interesting. Viking Volvo, racing trailer, Range Rover, Land Rover. Those all appeal to me.
  7. I built this one when I was around 10 or so. We had a small local drug store that used to have models in the toy section. I remember nagging my mom to get me this one. I'd buy it again if it was reissued.
  8. I can see America from my house! Okay, not really, but on a clear day, I can see a lot. When the bears, mountains, hockey pucks, and mosquitoes aren't in my way.
  9. The IPF bulbs were the same wattage as the factory bulbs. It's the reflectors in the headlight that made the difference. No high watt, crazy bright nonesense for me.
  10. In my old 93 XJ, I ran the IPF replacements with their H4 replacement bulbs. Was an amazing upgrade. Huge bang for the buck. https://www.quadratec.com/products/97017_1600.htm I ran them with the IPF H4 Magic Bulbs with the green glow ring. Kind of cheesy but I liked them. LED headlights are a challenge here, as they don't generate enough heat to melt any ice or snow build up while driving.
  11. I had to google what a Probox was. That doesn't happen often! I kind of dig it! Silver is definitely the right choice for this one!
  12. Great progress, really good coverage all over. And you got some paint on the truck too!
  13. Not rreally irked by this, more disappointed. Had to terminate someone's employment today. Totally the right decision, and I don't regret making it at all, but having the actual meeting really sucks.
  14. Hmm...I like both. Black Sabbath are probably overall more influential and important in the big picture. But for me, Iron Maiden are the band that turned me in to a music nut. I remember my dad buying Powerslave on vinyl, and I made him dub a copy onto cassette for me, and I listened to it a lot, and looked at that album jacket a lot. No question for me. Up The Irons!
  15. Had my first trade with TarheelRick. Everything is perfect. Would trade again!
  16. As a side note, the Journey is actually a solid option. They're reliable, fuel efficient, and reasonably priced. We move a ton of these at work. The Journey RT AWD can be had for under $30k CDN, and that gives you almost 300hp of V6 engine, navigation, 19" wheels, push button start with remote start, heated leather, heated steering wheel, and rear dvd. Not the most exciting vehicle on the planet, but then, it's not supposed to be.As a family hauler, it's just about perfect. I gave up on automotive journalists years ago. They judge sports cars by the number of cupholders and amount of cargo space, then deride small family cars for not handling like a Porsche.
  17. We got more snow overnight than we've had all winter! That means I got to go out and plow with our plow this morning.
  18. Read this earlier today.
  19. I have Somewhere In Time in pretty much permanent rotation in the truck! And in my stash, I have the Revell 747 and a set of aftermarket Ed Force 1 decals. Got that together right before revell actually issued their Ed Force 1 kit! I need to bump this up the queue.
  20. On a related note, it's rare that I ever have to ride my dinosaur over to the fax machine here. It seems the only people still using faxes are registries agents and insurance people. They seem to want everything faxed. And they never understand the dinosaur crack.
  21. Well, I'm not driving it yet, but i did get this confirmation today. 2019 Ram 1500 Limited, should be here in a couple of months, and will look like this.
  22. Trying to remove the politics out of the news release. The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists has moved the Doomsday Clock ahead by 30 seconds — to 11:58 p.m. — the symbolic time of civilization’s destruction. “It is with considerable concern that we set the Doomsday Clock, as of today,” Rachel Bronson, president and CEO of the organization, said during a news conference. “It is two minutes to midnight.” The clock, first used in 1947, is a metaphor meant to measure how close we are to destroying the world. In an uncharacteristic move, the scientists moved the clock by 30 seconds in 2017, to 2½ minutes to midnight. Typically, the clock is moved by the minute. The bulletin said at the time: “The probability of global catastrophe is very high, and the actions needed to reduce the risks of disaster must be taken very soon.” Anyway, here's some Iron Maiden, because everyone can use a little Iron Maiden in their day.
  23. It's actually a pretty faxcinating story. The shell fell of a trailer and broke a mechanic's leg. The engine & transmission were removed and used in another car, which crashed and killed the driver. The wheels were removed, and the car those were put on crashed. A couple of times people tried to steal it, and those people were injured "by the car." A garage the shell was stored in caught fire. It burned down, but the shell was undamaged. It fell of a display and broke someone's hip. A trasnport truck carrying it crashed, and the driver was subsequently crushed when the car fell off the trailer. It later fell of another truck while being transported. The curse is real? Hmm...
  24. So as you've probably seen in the other thread, Dolores O'Riordan from The Cranberries died last week. She was in London to work on a cover of Zombie by the band Bad Wolves. Bad Wolves are made up of members from some other bands, like Devildriver and God Forbid. Anyway, they invited Dolores down to give her two cents and possibly contribute. She was totally into it, hence coming to London. And of course, she never made it to the studio. Bad Wolves had already finished it, and instead of scrapping it, they released it as a tribute. I like their take on it.
