  1. Black vinyl flooring is available on all of the Ram trucks, Ford trucks, and GM trucks. Crank windows available on Ram ST trim level, and on GM half tons, WT trim level. Ford had crank windows available until 2014, haven't checked on the new aluminum trucks.
  2. I can even get you one in forestry green!
  3. You should give me a call, I can get you that truck! You'll never find it on a dealer lot, but we can order base trucks that are VERY base, especially if you can order it using a fleet code. I have many clients that do just that, and I'm always surprised that dealers wouldn't order just one like this to use as an advertiser. Something dirt cheap to put in their newspaper ads or whatever, to get people in the door. Rubber flooring, vinyl seats with no power controls, crank windows, manual mirrors and locks, no remote entry, steel wheels, no chrome, no satellite radio, am/fm radio only, no wi-fi, no cruise control, no touch screens, no multi-colour instrument panel displays, no LED/HID lighting. The only thing not optional that might be deemed a little extraneous would be the AC. Heck, want it without a trailer hitch? No problem. Want to delete the rear bumper and all the badging? Piece of cake. You want a zipper truck? No problem!
  4. You can still get that truck! From Ram, GM, and Ford!
  5. Huh? I don't see that at all.
  6. $40 seems pretty optimistic for a brand new tooling and brand new company. Hope it works out, as we need more selection and choice!
  7. In 2017, in the US only, Ram outsold Toyota Tundra by about 400,000 units. I knew people would bring up Tundra. If you look at all the trucks on the market, they all have styling elements that are also used by Toyota. Headlight shapes, door creases, cab corners, bottom corners of rear doors, tail lights, wheels ,etc.
  8. I'll have Canadian MSRP and invoice pricing pretty soon. Hope fully the fleet concessions are similare to the current model.
  9. The new Chev has it's own thread, so the Ram gets one too! 2019 Ram dbuted yesterday at the Detroit Auto Show. Already have an order placed for a Ram 1500 Limited. Not as polorizing as the new Chev. More of an evolution, even though the truck is completely new. Has pseudo-hybrid tech in it, benefits of which will remain to be seen. https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1114779_2019-ram-1500-first-look-big-rig-turns-the-page Interesting that the Sport trim level appears to be gone, as that was a massive seller. In Canada anyway.
  10. Great picture gallery here of the lost Bullitt. https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1114821_long-lost-1968-mustang-from-bullitt-likely-worth-millions
  11. So it was a big day around here yesterday. The Detroit auto show is in full swing, and the 2019 Silverado made it's full debut yesterday. I like the specs, I like the tech, I'm on the fence about that front end. I think the Trail Boss trim level works for me, but the other trim levels? Umm... https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1114795_2019-chevrolet-silverado-video-preview
  12. Ode To My Family is still a powerful song. It was such a departure to what I was listening to back then, but that song, and that album just grabbed me. Had it on rotation in Spotify yesterday. Lots of memories there.
  13. Cashing in on nostaligia, nothing more. In some cases it works, it other cases it's a blatant cash grab. I look at it the same way I see signature models in the world of guitar. I personally won;t buy a replica of an Eddie Van Halen guitar, or a George Lynch guitar, but in most cases I like that they exist. If you ever get a chance to drive a new Mustang, do so. As I said at the start, I'm not a Ford guy. But they did a good job with the new gen Mustang. We have a couple in our fleet here, which I was able to spend some quality time with this past fall. The 5.0L with a manual transmission is still the way to go. Yeah, the EcoBoost is fast, but it sounds like a Ford Fusion, and who wants that? Plus, the 5.0L comes with Line Lock; the factory burnout mode. And works awesome! Total hooligan, but it feels great!
  14. Also, I opened up the trailer going with this truck and started removing pieces and cleaning them up.
  15. Finally got around to getting the torsion bar set up done and pictured. It was tough, because the instructions suck, there were no part numbers on the trees, and I couldn;t find any pics of the real setup to see if I was doing this correctly! Having said all that, it's all on, it looks right, and everything sits level and as square as it can be with the warped frame. The big test will be once I get the wheels on and see if they all touch the ground at the same time! Will be doing some finishing filling, sanding, and cleanup over the next week or so. It's getting to the point that it needs to warm up outside so I can start spraying some colour. I started getting some paint on interior pieces last night. No pics of that yet.
  16. Persdonal, I'd take care of the mechanical, and preserve the patina and that body. Stop it from deteriorating any further. But I wouldnt restore it. And like the owner, I'd leave it as original as possible while doing the mechanical work. If parts can be reused, I would.
  17. I like how Ford has done the Bullitt tribute cars. Yes, they've done them a few times before, and everyone of them has been what I felt was the best version in that lineup. No stripes, no goofy spoilers, no chrome. Just simple, clean, and fun. And this one is a slightly bigger deal, as it's the 50th anniversary of the movie this year. I thought the bigger reaction here would be that the original movie hero car was found and used for this launch. Is this one not a Holy Grail Mustang? I mean, it's not the original Eleanor, but it's still a pretty amazing piece of movie history.
  18. ANyone who has spent time talking with me knows I'm not a big Ford fan. But I'll give credit where it's due, and this is pretty darn cool. 2019 Mustang Bullitt. And they've got the original movie car too! https://drivemag.com/news/1968-bullitt-mustang-resurfaces-after-40-years-shows-up-alongside-2019-heir-in-detroit Now we just need to see them do a cool collaboration with Dodge, and get a black Charger involved. Yeah right.
  19. Early 70s. If I can find the comic again (there's a few boxes!) I'll update here.
  20. Stunned. Talk about a 90s icon. Listed to them a LOT.
  21. Horrible car! Great build though.
  22. I find that same thinness in both Testor's and Tamiya. Having said that, over the past year, I seem to be switching to Tamiya whenever I need paint.
  23. Was going through and sorting/catalogingmy late father-in-law's old comic collection over the weekend. Happened to find this. And in closer detail...
  24. I appeal to the aircraft experts here! I know very little about airplanes, and almost nothing about airplane kits. A couple of years ago, we started going through my late father in law's garage. THe attic was packed full of old magazines, comics, and old books. Hidden amongst those were a few model kits. There were a couple of auto kits, and several airplanes. I'm not looking to get rid of these, but I do have questions , as per below. Revell Messerschmitt Bf109G - I think as it sits, these are somewhat rare, in that the decal sheet includes swastikas. Kit makers have stopped provided period correct decals now, right? THis one even had an extra set of decals in it, along with some period correct sandpaper and glue. I'm sure the glue is just fine to use now. lolz Hawk P47D Thunderbolt - all molded in chrome, 1/4 inch scale. What does that translate to? Life Like Hobby Kits - Laird-Turner Pesco Special - any idea what scale this thing is?
