  1. Maybe it's different here in Canada. We have normal allocation now. That initial "gotta have it" rush is over, and I can place an order today with no wait list. Normally, I'd say it would be a late September build, with arrival in October. But we're at that model year switchover. Orders placed now will be 2024 models. Order bank opened in July, production should start in (I believe) October. So order now, we'd have a 2024 here before Christmas. I have two Bronco 4 doors in stock now. Both are Wildtrak 4dr with soft top. The black one we added a set of Ford Performance wheels, and then colour matched the emblems in the same bronze colour. Looks awesome. Dealers here stopped paying the "over MSRP" game several months ago on the Bronco. We're actually discounting off MSRP a little. And Ford have lowered interest rates from the nonsense we had a couple of months ago. Auto world is slowly getting back to normal. And like Craig said above, I'd factory order for sure. These things aren't cheap, so you should get the "right" Bronco, not the "right now" Bronco.
  2. All the risque jokes and comments running through your mind right now? Those are from me. Happy birthday!
  3. I'm a fleet sales manager at a Ford store, so have a little first hand knowledge of the Bronco. Ordering them is a challenge. The 2dr has 13 different trim levels. The 4dr has 14 trim levels. Despite that, it can still be tricky to get all of the equipment you want, without getting a bunch of stuff you don't need. The Sasquatch package is (in my mind) a must have. It gives you a beadlock capable wheels on 35" tires, locking axles front & rear, a suspenison lift of about 2", better shocks, wider fender flares, higher axle ratio, and some cool decals. Sasquatch package not available on Big Bend, but you do get the same size tires. The tops are removeable. It comes standard with the soft top, and you have the option of switching to a hard top or getting dual tops. Swapping the tops is easy enough, but not as easy as it is on a Jeep Wrangler. If you have specific requirements, feel free to shoot me a message and I can help guide you through the options and trim levels.
  4. This was in yesterday for an oil change. Nothing too special, but with the new suspension and wheels...dang did this thing look awesome and menacing.
  5. One of our vendors has another project. Late 50s Mercury Meteor Needs a bit of work.
  6. No, that white one with red stripes and a Mustang II front clip was a Pinto. The ones I posted are Fox body Fairmonts. All are "mustang wagons."
  7. It is a Pinto wagon. Someone just slapped a Mustang II front clip on it. People have been doing this for years.
  8. That's like the 6th article I've seen on this guy. Yes, he's had some charging issues, but he also went and bought a vehicle without doing any research into a new vehicle. Spent $10k on two chargers, plus $6k to upgrade his home's wiring? Man, the electricians saw this guy coming for sure. I installed my Level 2 charger for under $2k CDN, including upgrading the power supply to the house. And he complains about his charge time? Two hours to get from 10% to 90%? When an EV car does it in half the time? Well duh. It's like going from a car with a 70L gas tank to a truck with a 140L gas tank. A larger tank is going to take longer to fill.
  9. I agree completely. I think this thread should be taken as a major warning, and that no one should be doing business with this company. As a somewhat related followup to my purchase... I've since been able to 3d print versions of the Chev CK truck grilles I managed to get from Motor City. The 3d print files are much better, and far more accurate. And my prints are a big improvement over the resin pieces I received. Kind of shows where the technology can go in just a few short years.
  10. Well, I made a vehicle change. Again. Got rid of the 2022 Mach-E GT and the 2022 F150 XLT. Replaced them both with this. 2023 F150 Lightning XLT. Have been driving this for a few weeks now. Already did a family vacation roadtrip into the mountains of BC, with zero drama.
  11. BMW have been developing hydrogen fuel cell tech for years. Nothing on the market yet, but it's coming. And Toyota have had the Mirai on the market for a few years now. I think it's a good solution, and would like to see it making its way into pickups, especially 3/4 ton and 1 ton, because electric currently won't work well in those applications.
  12. I've had no issues with Moebius. So far, two Ford truck kits that had warped parts. First was the ramp truck (of course) with a badly warped ramp. Second was the F100 4X4, with a badly warped cab. In both cases, I emailed customer support, had a response back from a guy named Eric within a couple of days, and replacement parts in my mailbox within a couple of weeks. Keep in mind, I'm in Canada, so shipping from the US can take a little longer.
  13. I prefer new. But for the right subject matter, I'm not opposed to rebuilders.
  14. Saw Steve Vai over the weekend. Really good show.
  15. The number of people we get that say similar things is staggering. "I didn't know there would be payments." "What do you mean there's sales tax?" "I was told the interest rate was 0.0%." Customers say anything to get out of a commitment. We have a guy we're dealing with right now. He came in in June, wanted a new F150. He sat with our sales person, came up with a spec to factory order. Went to the F&I office, completed a credit app, provided proof of income, got approved. He left a deposit, we ordered the truck and it arrived at the railyard on Thursday. We call him up to tell him his new truck is almost here. "What truck? I didn't order any truck." Now he's accusing us of being dishonest and stealing his info and his money, and he's threatening us with a lawsuit. Dude, if you have buyer's remorse, just say you can't take the truck anymore. No need to lie and get angry about your inability to commit.
  16. Looking good!
  17. Held a small Bronco Show at work yesterday. A new of new ones showed up, plus some classics. Didn't take pics of everything, but here's a few of interest. Makes me more excited to pick up the new AMT bronco kit.

  18. I think there's something wrong here. Us humans are working jobs and doing every day tasks, and the robots are making art and poetry. I think we got AI wrong.
  19. I want the followup story! What happened after?!
  20. Okay people, because we miss it, this thread is now reopened. Hopefully after a little break, people have remembered the rules and we won't have to dole out any more vacations or bans. To reiterate: 1. no politics. Gun laws, Bud Light, politicians...those are political. Keep them out of here. 2. no religion. We don't care who you worship or who you believe ion or don't believe in. Keep it out of here. Most of you can do this. I know you can. Let's be funny.
  21. Minor irk yesterday evening. I'm checking out IG, and see this comment on a post from Revell. I of course had to respond. And Revell agreed with me. Ugh, why are people like this?
  22. Oh my... https://www.motor1.com/news/681335/1965-chevy-el-camino-convertible-concept-v8-boat-fast-loud/ Yup. I definitely want this.
  23. I've been getting spam text messages lately. Luckily, by phone recognizes them as spam and sticks them in the blocked folder immediately. But when I look in there... Royal Bank of Canada security alert: Your client card 4519***** has been temporarily locked due to unusual activity. Then a link to click and reactivate. The bank changes with each text, and the "card number" changes, but it's always the same. Funny thing is, I've never received one of these texts from the actual bank we use. ?
  24. Nope. He's on the main island.
