  1. WOW! Outstanding builds. Paint is flawless.
  2. Top Notch!
  3. Great job! Looks just like my dad's.
  4. Thanx for the replies. The tires, like I said are directional, but the cut-outs were too big for the rims on that side of all tires, hence putting them on incorrect. I used Chrome Pen on all except the strip on the side.
  5. LOL, hood wouldn't stay up so I grabbed a prop to prop!
  6. I present to you, The Green Monster! Never can leave a model un-modded...LOL. It's a kit bash using the new GMC Big Country Chevy Truck for the running gear and tires combined with the old AMT '55 Nomad 3n1 kit. Purists will hang me from the nearest tree, but I accept that. Went together as well as could be expected. Painted Rustoleum Gloss Spring Green and Rustoleum Gloss White. Also tried the Model Master Transparent Window Tint. Need to lay it on real light a few times. I got some runs in the curves of the glass. And I did know the tires were directional, but the way they are molded on the inner, they do not fit the rims that way (for me). Once you remove the extra rubber on the inner, they aren't snug enough. After placing the engine in, it was way low, so I added a blower! Hood still shuts. Anyhow, hope you like it! Thanx for looking.
  7. Do you have the glass for this? Appears not to be installed. I need a set. Thanx
  8. Lots of nice, cool stuff. So that's what the extra roof piece is on my Nomad. Should read the instructions first...LOL
  9. OMG! That is epic. Flawless and in black no less. Was there an "On the WorkBench" post?
  10. Looks good. Should have posted up in the wanted section for a bed. I have one from the Big Country 78 GMC kit that I bashed and didn't use the body. Your utility bed looks great though.
  11. I concur. Tamiya models are top notch. I built this same one and same color. Fit was xlnt which made it a pleasure.
  12. This Cad man approves. Very nice.
  13. That is perfect!
  14. WOW! Those are epic.
  15. Nice job. I have one just moved to my workbench. Gonna be a modded version. Of course...lol
  16. Superb bug. Great job.
  17. Picked up this open box model from a widow who lost her husband recently. He had many built and unbuilt, but my budget was just for 5 out of the lot. I have owned a few real caddy's in my day and my dad always had one as a family car growing up. We never had a convertible though. Anyhow, I decided to go with Rustoleum Gloss Berry Pink for the exterior and Rustoleum Candy Pink for the interior. Found some nice felt to use as carpet at Michaels for 33 cents. JoHan's models seem to be well fitting in my experience and this was as well. Was an open box, so a couple things were missing, but I fixed that. The wheels are rollers, which meant that it was easier to drop in the weeds because of the straight axles. Used bigger whitewalls and rims from my parts box. No gloss coat on here. I used Pledge/Future Floor wax and it came out nice. Also, I did the windshield trim with a chrome pen instead of BMF. Did the engine in the same pink as the interior. No awards will be won here, but had fun building another shelver. Thanx for looking.
