  1. I like where you're going with this, the "utility" look. A look that always seems to get overlooked. Why didn't AMT offer the "stock" bottlecap hubcaps in this kit originally? Glad you got the excellent quality Rookie Resin stock hubcaps when you had the chance!
  2. Excellent work! Nice paint scheme contrasts. The cab height is spot on!
  3. Thanks all for the positive comments! A few simple modifications back dates the WF kit a couple of years. For single exhaust, I cut the kits crossover pipe and added a short 90 degree angle with a little putty work tapered up to the smaller exhaust manifold flange. I don't have the best camera, hope this helps.
  4. Nice conversion work, the Dodge L700 kit can adapt to other vocations if you have the imagination and motivation.
  5. Nice choice in subject matter, the 3/4 ton 4x4. Toughest thing is to figure out what paint scheme and colors to go with. Like the period looking wide base 16.5" tires and wheels. Just a reminder, a common mistake on these '70-'72 Moebius kits is to snap the rear portion of the bed to the frame, it actually needs to be propped up a tiny bit in the rear so the body moldings can line up as a straight arrow from front to rear. Also, overdoing the black wash around the headlights, don't carry too far down, for proper looking headlight buckets. Will be following this build.
  6. IMO, the re issued Revell 56 f 100 or the Monogram 1950 F 1 have the most realistic looking stock wheels for '61-'65 F 100's ( left side photo). Right side photo is a resin piece off Ebay, it looks very similar to the heavy duty 2 piece 15" rim in previous photo on '66. The optional 2 piece wheels were wider in 1:1.
  7. '66 F 100's used the carryover '61-'65 bottle cap hubcap when the optional heavy duty 2 piece 15" rim or 17.5" solid rims were used. The white with red trim paint scheme bottlecap first appeared in '65. Funny how AMT' 3 in 1 kits in particular, kit never came with the optional 15" 2 piece, the 16" and the 17.5" solid wheels as options, but there were plenty of extra frivolous gingerbread pieces in these kits.
  8. Nice work, the interior looks great. Any plans for some more realistic wheels?
  9. Thanks for the comments and interest. Got the 317 cu in. V8 in place, basically a "truckized" Y block with larger oil pan, ram type exhaust and an air compressor, also used the Dodge L 700 5 speed trans and 7 blade fan. Using chrome headlight buckets from a '51 Chevy Fleetline.
  10. Right, but sure wish Revell would have done a Pete back then too! I'm assuming every re issue they were molded in different colors? Have a red and a green KW, not sure which issue year each is.
  11. Started the Mill City resin '53 Ford. The quality is very good to start off with. Found a resin '54 grill and will be using the F 800 spoke type resin wheels and resin tires from AITM. The frame is a slightly lengthened Dodge L700. Already have an old IMC tanker that looks like it is from the same era of time, going for a vintage milk hauler look.
  12. Looks great, can't beat those factory colors! I like the correct style hubcaps, makes all the difference!
  13. Great job on the windshield and trim removal, the base model always looks more appropriate with a service body. Like the correct 3/4 ton stance too!
  14. Looks like another great build in the making! The Dodge cab from AITM looks like a nice piece. I like the Freightliner frame choice, a perfect match for a 60's Dodge.
  15. Very impressive build. This piece of equipment looks like a real money maker for Super Bee Trucking!
  16. Outstanding build, a museum piece, the quality of your work is top notch. Great choice in Richfield, the colors really pop on this one! Great subject matter, nice to see these medium tonnage range vintage trucks being built.
  17. These vintage stock pickups look great. The Chevy looks spot on for the factory Klondike Gold, is it a custom mix or a rattle can color? Paint job looks fantastic.
  18. The expandability factor is also a plus for medium duty fans, unlike later F series 1 1/2-2 tons with physically much larger fenders, this series retained the pickup fenders, but just enlarged a bit to accommodate larger 20" wheels.
  19. CME has just taken delivery of a brand new 1970 Freightliner, # 2143. Fleet specs: WF 6342 250 Cummins, Fuller 10 spd, Rockwell R 170 rear, Farr frontal air system
  20. Great job on the base trim Flareside, the stance looks great, tu tone colors really look sharp.
  21. Great news. IMO, the '60 was a very good representation, only problems, as others mentioned were the short cuts AMT took to save money, one piece interior tub, one piece bed and cab, one piece chassis and one piece grill and bumper. The big payoff will be when the 57, 58 and 59 get added to the series, especially the '59 ( shown below) never done by anybody before. Personal preference, I would rather have a small back window cab on every pre '66 pickup ever made.
  22. Nice build! Those wheels are worth every penny, they are super realistic looking!
  23. Great job on this, excellent detail work, cab and wheel color really look sharp. I like the narrow nose look of these vintage Diamand Reos. Inspired to do a long frame conversion with Budd wheels someday!
  24. Beautiful job, beautiful colors, the custom fitted flatbed looks perfect!
