  1. Very nice work, the wrecker body and General look great together! The 22" wheels look perfect.
  2. Excellent representation of a '64 Dodge the way it looked in a dealership showroom back in the day.
  3. Great job with the tractor to stake conversion! Cab sits level and straight on frame, hard to pull off with the L 700. Excellent detail and paint work, especially like wheel color contrasts. Keep these medium duties coming!
  4. You again captured the look of a no-nonsense workhorse that has the power and capacity to do the job right. The L hood and 9000 emblems are very nice upgrades.
  5. Nice job Brian. The paint scheme is simple, but effective. Like the L hood upgrade!
  6. It's been a few years, has anyone stepped up to the plate and offer them again? Found a photo, but AFAIK, not available.
  7. Interesting and accurate read, thanks for posting keyser. AMT tried to cash in on the 4x4 boom in the late 70's with the Stones kit without giving us a retooled shortbed or standard bed pickup.
  8. Impressive work! You always have ways to push modeling to the next level. I agree about needing a stretch machine for already done 1/35 scale pieces that dominates military scene. The old 6 hand hole design from the 40's-50's is a must do. Panzer Art 1/35 wheels from ebay listings.
  9. This is more of a brush type unit. Official L.A. county fire crest on door. 6 lug wheels= F350
  10. Great looking wrecker! The 22" rubber and the old style alcoa's give it a cool vintage look.
  11. Thanks Gator. Still working on the '58 Esso tanker trailer, but my collection of '50's Fords are growing ( and getting dusty? ).
  12. Yes, it has been done with the Ertl International 4070 cabover that was originally introduced in '73. For decades it has been a very hard to find kit, it has been recently reversed engineered from an older complete kit. IMO, if it can be done to this kit, it can be done to any highly sought after older kit. I guess we need to get in their ear to reverse engineer more kits that will sell!
  13. Great job on the super heavy duty Mack Dump. Wheels and tires look awesome!
  14. Thanks for the comments! The '54 grill was purchased from Kitchen Table Resins a while back. There is one available from Shapeways also. 1/25 54 Ford truck grill (GMNRSKF65) by harvester850 (shapeways.com)
  15. Very authentic looking Ranger, excellent detail work!
  16. Excellent work! Great choice on using the Fireball and Scenes Unlimited pieces, they really compliment the bumpside trucks dramatically.
  17. This seems to be the consistent pattern in resin offerings, they come and then they go. The only early 70's Ford van in 1/25 AFAIK.
  18. Very nice build! Like the paint scheme and decal choice. These Autocars look more 1950's looking than 70's.
  19. Thanks for the interest and comments. More photos of the tractor by itself.
  20. Great info Greg! Looks like the squad in the photo is doable if you find a cab from an old '60 Ford F100 kit. A few episodes of Emergency show a '58 Ford F 350 deluge unit. Truck looks like its in great condition for being almost 20 years old.
  21. Excellent work on this kit! The attention to details really make his C 10 pop!
  22. A brand new 1954 Ford C 800 with 38' Heil tanker has just been delivered to Carnation Milk Company. Truck specs are 1954 Ford C 800, 317 Cargo KIng V8, heavy duty 5 speed with 2 speed rear axle, full air brakes and 11.00-22 wheels and tires. Had fun with this one, the Mill City Resin Ford and the old IMC tanker have a period vintage look. Used a lengthened Dodge L 700 frame, AITM ( now Keystone) F 800 wheels, tires and saddle fuel tanks. '54 grill is an aftermarket resin piece.
  23. Thankyou for the compliment, Ulf. Wheels and tires were from Scenes Unlimited. Danny has a very good line of dually wheels for all size trucks.
  24. Fireball's F 250 4x4 conversion kit is excellent. These are the products that most resin people said wasn't worth the investment because we are too small a niche. WRONG. I heard they sold like hot cakes. ITS THE SUBJECT MATTER THAT COUNTS. Back to working on the if it is appropriate for the 70's AMT Ford pickup : Stones, Star truk, Super Camper Special etc. etc. Answer, No, unless you shorten the wheelbase and use another bed with the standard 8' pickup box or use a utility type service body. Ford never offered the AMT Ford body style in 4x4, the Stones kit does not exist in 1:1. First year of the F 350 4x4 was 1979 and used the standard wheelbase 8' box. In retrospect, a one year only deal, in 1980, the body style was completely changed. The '79 F 350 4x4 is probably a collectors item today.
  25. Thanks for the update! We wish Danny well. He has been a godsend to the hobby. He has provided many excellent never done before resin pieces that really take kits to the next level.
