  1. Thanks Luke, it's inspired by this beauty right here, called the Thundertaker. The far back seat is the part I'm trying to figure out , so I'm happy to have this as a reference photo!
  2. Gotta be careful on that last one, Depending on what's under the hood, some even older lady in a V6 Camry could dust it off on the way to Bingo!
  3. Here’s something I’ve been thinking about since 2017 and finally decided to get going on it! I’m taking one of Round 2’s reissues of the AMT/ERTL Ecto-1a kit and making a long roofed limo out of it, mixing interior and a few chrome parts from this kit and a Revell ‘59 Eldorado Hardtop kit with a crunched roof. Already smoothed the roof, adapted the tires and caps from the Revell kit and started hopping up the ambulance kit tub to start adapting the floor and seats from the Eldo kit for the back.
  4. I was pretty lucky to begin with at this job, my office is less than 4miles away and the last 2 retail jobs I had were 6-15 miles, depending on the locations, and there was no work from home options there!
  5. To be honest, my lunch break today around 1:15pm CST was the first time I've left the house since getting home with dinner for Dad and myself since Monday night sometime after 6pm. I work from home, so not having to leave the house to work in these conditions is a nice perk!
  6. Drug out some old Johan repops I bought from Oakey Spaulding a few years back at the DuPage show and worked on them when it comes to getting things ready for primer, all are dropped over Pegasus wheels and narrow whites ’56 Plymouth Belvedere 4dr on the Sovereign-Ts ’59 Rambler Wagon on Chrome Reverse Wheels Chrysler Turbine Car, also dropped over Sovereign-Ts
  7. Just imagine if they used an old Audi for this, then it would be an Innie!
  8. Nope, it was easier to cut the GT chassis plate down then hog out the wheel openings and add flares for the GT's rolling stock.
  9. Agreed, I'm very familiar with that kit and this is a ton of cutting for what he did!
  10. Put some more work into the shop truck Willys build tonight, bonded the hood scoop to the hood, scratch built a gas tank and other that exhaust. It’s ready for primer, once the weather is good enough.
  11. Agreed, that was the biggest consolation when Mom passed 2 years ago, at least wasn't in anymore pain.
  12. Messed around a little with the Shop Truck ‘33 Willys tonight too! So I did a little UV resin filling on the scoop and more importantly, I’ve located the front axle on the chassis using the hairpins front the ‘34 Ford donor kit!
  13. Ok, finished the drums to the point I need to prime them, we just don’t have the weather right now. and I also wrapped a little tape around them to keep them in the wheels for now and filled the tail light slots so I can put something less……….90’s back there.
  14. Dad is on the mend and feeling much better, though he’s sick of having to quarantine in a separate room right now.
  15. Had to mock the Revell ‘34 3 Window snapper with the finned drums I made to cover the axle posts of the Pegasus wheels I’m using on it.
  16. Ok, finished the drums enough to mock them up on the car!
  17. Ok,been putting time into the brake drums to cover the axle posts inside the wheels. All scratch built from Evergreen tube, rod, sheet, and 1/2 round stock! I’m going to leave the 1st assembly be for now and have some dinner, once that’s done, the cement should be solid enough to start sanding and shaping into the final product. Once that is done, I’ll start shaping the rest……and maybe open a window?
  18. Thanks, that one is going to be more of a space ship type car (think Thundercougarfalconbird, minus the masculinity issues) once it's done.
  19. Here’s a few of mine, including some I really need to get back on. I may go to some Pegasus Chrome Reverse wheels and big and little tires on this one. This one needs paint
  20. I built one in Forza 4 some years back that was way overpowered and almost undrivable under power.
  21. Thanks Jim, he was at CDH and only for a couple hours. And as of Midnight, he was feeling much, much better! As I stated before, He was lucky enough have a doctor that had Covid a month ago, plus with the exact same symptoms Dad had, so he already knew exactly what he was dealing with when he was assigned to Dad.
  22. No, I’d leave the Gremlin face or adapt a Javelin/AMX front clip.
  23. There’s a YouTube channel called Scarf and Goggles that covers a lot of older, international land speed efforts that I’ve watched a lot of recently, I may be getting some of of the older race cars he’s talked about mixed up with the Vesco EV effort when it comes to the FIA records.
