  1. Put the truck aside for a while and took it out and worked on it more last night plus drove it some, still needs paint though.
  2. I’m amazed I’ve lost weight during all this!
  3. Weighed myself for a telemed Doctor appointment today, I’m down another 17lbs from the September appointment I had in person, down 53lbs since 12/26/19, and 67lbs from my heaviest!
  4. There were monster trucks in the day that had leaf packs that were arched like that as well.........though somehow I’d imagine that the ride and handling of those were better than most of those “Street Freaks”....
  5. It’s more R/C Model related, but has seen neglecting my Clodbust of late, so I reworked the steering so I now have a bunch of rear steer, cleaned up the wiring, mounted an antenna tube and taped down the receiver......still gotta paint it though....... And yes, I did drive it onto the Jeep when I parked it there
  6. Who arched those front springs!? They look like something from an 80’s monster truck!
  7. IIRC, the Daytona’s used ‘70 Charger hoods, no matter the scale, due to the noses used being a similar profile along that part of the hood.
  8. Problem is, it’ll probably fall on it’s side if he hammers it from a dig!
  9. I have another reference, but that one would get censored as soon as I hit “Save”
  10. In all honesty, the rump to road distance on that Donk isn’t too far from a lot of modern trucks and SUVs, possibly lower than the F/S Chevy Vans I grew up with too.
  11. Looks like Larry Watson got into the Gullwing repaints too! Wonder if that 3rd one is now Leno’s!
  12. So there 2 candy apple Gullwings at one time?! I heard that the VonDutch painted car was returned to stock at some point, unless Leno somehow ended up with it after it was reworked?!
  13. That said, I’m not sure which is more dangerous to be around in traffic.
  14. Decided to try K&N’s new face masks and ordered a new filter cleaner and oil kit since the one I gave may be around 2 decades old and the drop in I’ve got in my 200 needs a good cleaning! May order a second drop in and their washable HVAC filter for the 200 at some point too, need I need to replace the HVAC filter and a second drop in would give the current one time to dry before reinstalling it.
  15. I don’t get the argument that it’s deviating from “stock” when no stock car has TBI any more let alone a carb, no stock car has a 4speed auto let alone manual any more, GM stopped using that rear suspension design in their trucks before I was born 44 years ago and most vehicles outside of some economy FWD cars or most pickups have moved away from a solid rear axle, lots of cars use composite materials and have for much of my life, most vehicles have some form of aero tuning, be it for downforce or mileage as well as wind noise, outside of basic trucks, it’s rare to find a new vehicle with as much sidewall as NASCAR or F1 use and unless it’s some tiny, lightweight economy car, it’s hard to fine a new vehicle with 15” rims, let alone 13”.
  16. Second snowfall of the season! ?
  17. We’re talking NASCAR here Dave, the spirit of Smokey Yunick will remain strong there for years to come and there will still be room to find where to find something not in the rule books to do.
  18. This guy brings an interesting perspective on how to look at the new car!
  19. I’m curious to see how this works out, nothing wrong with bringing the cars into the 1990’s, tech wise, after all. Now if they’d just start putting production style bodies on them again...........
  20. That Vette in the 1st pic almost looks like how the Corvette would have been if Duntov convinced Chevy to go mid engine in the late 50's!
  21. Apparently I've managed to start 2 threads on this in 2016?!
  22. That’s just how Torch is, though it seems to lacking one thing his earlier stories likely involved, something green, leafy, and not yet 50 state legal??
