Wasn't being sarcastic John, just a bit surprised. Those choppers are two of the most widely recognized helicopters in the world. I was surprised you didn't know them when you knew a P39 by sight, quite a bit more obscure than the Huey or 47 lol.

Really? Surely you recognize the Huey. If you've ever seen footage of the war in Vietnam you've seen it. And the Bell 47G, one of the most iconic choppers built?

A friend of mine related a story from when he was at vo tech. They had a pain in the rear student. The class he was in was at one end of the building, and there was a metal shop at the other. The teacher sent him down to get a bucket of grinder sparks. When the kid was on the way he phoned the other teacher and filled him in. They had the kid running back and forth. Kid learned his lesson. A popular one in the wood business is to tell a newbie to go get a board stretcher.

I want to start coming to club meetings again but it's 20 miles one way for me and summer keeps me busy. Maybe this winter I can.
