Looks great, I'll be buying a few! I love the power takeoff & chain drive winch detail.

Great build! Really nice job on the weathering, it's hard to believe this was your first time doing it.?? -

This is your first time doing this kind of weathering? Great job! If you sanded through some of the red oxide just decant a little, thin it and brush it on the bare spots, that's what I do. Keep up the great work! -
Thanks, the frame is from a AA truck that was cut down. It has 2 transmissions, a 3 speed up front & 4 speed in the back so if the rear one is in high gear and you just use the front 3 speed it's pretty fast. The lower the gear in the rear trans the slower it goes but if you put them both in reverse it goes forward but it's so slow you have to through your hat on the ground to see if it's moving.

Just figured I would share this here too, I hope it's ok. I went to a friends house today and helped him get his 1930 Model A Doodlebug running. He wants to buy a new carb for it because the needle valve keeps getting stuck. I tried to talk him into a rebuild kit but it's his choice. Anyway, I got it running pretty good and went for a ride, it made for a good day.

Hey Dennis, can I ask where the carbs on this came from?

I learned how to drive a Model T
mchook replied to 89AKurt's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Great job! I learned to drive my father's 23 T when I was about 13 or 14. It can be a little intimidating at first but like anything else, when you got it figured out it's easy. Everyone that has a chance to do it, should . Like you said it's a lot of fun. -

Great start! I love the way you did your wheels, I might have to borrow that idea. I've helped revive alot of these old Doodlebugs over the years with my father. He has a soft spot for them, it's what they had to use as kid. He still looks for them to restore to working condition and even has on he still uses today. Here's a few pics of my father when he was a kid on a couple of his and the small pic is my Grandfather & his brother.

Thanks everyone for all the great compliments. I haven't gotten much bench time but I did get the transmission done, some paint & plug wires.
