  1. That's very sharp! Great color, and a clean looking build!
  2. My side of the trade with Steve Guthmiller went just as smoothly! I'd recommend trading with him, anytime! Thanks, Steve! The Chryslers look great!
  3. I started at 8 years old with a snap-together Studebaker my aunt gave me for my birthday. I've stuck mainly with the civilian vehicle side of the hobby, building stock, custom, race, junkers, cars, pickups, big rigs, and boats. I have dabbled a little with some military stuff, but not very much.
  4. This could be placed in the same category as "waking a sleeping bear", or "poking a hornet's nest with a stick".
  5. This option usually works for me!! When I start looking for something else, I find what I was looking for in the first place!
  6. I found my 2017 Chrysler 300s on the Carguru website. The listing showed that the car was at a local used car dealership. I drove the 40 miles to test drive it, and ended up driving it home that day. Next time I'm in the market for a vehicle, I'll try Carguru first.
  7. Some differences in engineering might be attributed to the fact that some of the recent AMT kit offerings actually started life as MPC kits back in the day. I remember a few of the MPC kits were a bit fiddly.
  8. I like both of these ideas. They will work on my Chargers and Coronets!
  9. Looks great! I like the blue. This is one of "Holy Grail" models. Well done on the re-build!
  10. That lighter red part looks to be a solid sheet of embossed vinyl.
  11. Some "Must-Have" reference material!
  12. Nice! How are you able to stretch that sprue so evenly? Mine would be thick and thin in places, I'm afraid! LOL
  13. Perfect color combination! Great project!
  14. Sorry, Pete. The OP posted a pic that has no parts tag numbers. The one with three digits came from Steve Guthmiller.
  15. Add some '78 Dodge pickup taillights.
  16. Lee, could you provide a close up of just one of those caps? It might help some of us blind geezers take a stab at it. LoL
  17. There are some vinyl top kits available, but I can't remember who makes them. I think they come in black or white. I've used the masking tape method before. So far, it's still holding up. One problem that could pop up is sticking to the contours of the roof. Next time I try a vinyl top, I'll be using the spray paint method.
  18. Thanks for the heads up! The one I have is the Lindberg edition, with the pace car option. I'm planning to build it as the pace car.
  19. I really like the carpet treatment. Nice method, too. I may "borrow" that!
  20. I had an aggravating experience yesterday. I was in the carport, having a battle with three or four wasp nests. I zapped the nests with spray that would shoot 20 feet. Wasps would come at me, and I shot them, too. I used up four cans before I realized that some of the wasps that zipped across my view were the floaters in my eyes!!
  21. Fantastic! I like the blue! How was it to build? I've had one on the bench more than a year without much movement. LoL
  22. I tend to agree on the blue backs. They would compliment the blue rocker stripes. Of course....that's just my opinion. Everything is looking great on this build.

    Dirt Chevelle's

Very nice job on both of these! I built a dirt track '72 Chevelle from an AMT kit that has similar damage on it.
