These hoods are from Lex's Scale Modeling:
Left to right....1971 Dodge Charger...1967 Chevy Impala...1970 Chevy Monte Carlo.
I got the following parts to replace the bad ones in a kit I already had:
These are supposedly from the new release of the '65 GTO.
I also got these extra bits from another seller at the same time. Ya never know which ones you'll "win"!
The headlights from both of these look pretty good.
Certainly better than the one from the kit I already had:
This is great news, in light of the folding of a major car model publication. Thanks for stepping up, and I hope to soon be able to hold a Model Cars Magazine in my hands.
Some of it is about brand loyalty. While I like the Grand Prix, and the Oldsmobile versions, I'd buy the Chrysler 300 first. Maybe if a company had done a series of Hurst kits around the same time, it would have done well enough to justify.
I have another brand of chrome foil stashed somewhere in the hobby room. I haven't tried it, yet. I'll try to fish it out and post the brand name in this thread.
I actually have a 1968 Imperial that has electric vent windows. I had never seen any of those until I bought this car.
The problem right now is....they don't work! LoL
Welcome, Kyle! One thing you might want to do, if your kits are opened, is place the tires in a plastic bag. Also, I do the same with clear parts, and put the decals inside the instruction sheet.
I'm glad I saw this thread. I have some of this stuff, but haven't used it. I'll be wary of it, now. Guess I'll do a trial run on some scrap.
If it doesn't work out, maybe I can turn it into masking material.
