  1. So many considerations here, Steve. You've done a lot of great foil work on this one, that would be sad to lose. Also, who's to say the same problem won't show up, again. I've never thought about it, but could you shoot more color over the clear coat you've already done, and go from there?
  2. Very cool! This captures the look of the real one. I owned a light gray '79 two door back in the late 80's. Fairly smooth ride, and peppy with the 351 under the bonnet.
  3. I don't know about now, but I believe this car has spent time in a museum in Nashville, Tn., about 80 miles from where I live. I'll get up there, someday, to check it out.
  4. Was this project finished? I have a '67 Cougar fastback build on the bench, using a '68 Shelby Mustang roof section.
  5. The Sunfire red is really coming around!
  6. I'll be in line for one. It's one I never had back in the day.
  7. I did mention a couple from my wish list. After that, I took it to PM.

I like it! I just painted a '69 Charger with Claret Red, another dark red MOPAR color. It's close to what you have here, but probably a couple shades different.

Top notch Plymouth! Very nice color, and the paint looks smoooooth!!
  10. Fantastic score! The '63 Imperial convertible and '59 Buick have been on my wish list forever!
  11. Charge him an extra "Recaster's Fee"!!
  12. Very good. Thanks!
  13. How long do you wait between each coat of clear?
  14. I noticed what appears to be a white AMT '63 Imperial convertible in the second pic.
  15. That's a nice color, and looks like it went on well.
  16. Micromark.com also carries it.
  17. As far as doing crazy things with a vintage model..... AMT '67 Cougar, with '68 Mustang fastback grafted in. The Cougar was a gluebomb, and the Mustang was a more recent kit.
  18. Ahhhh....those were the days...when a big Ford/Mercury, or big Chrysler could pull just about anything a half-ton pickup could pull!!
