  1. Congrats, guys on some fantastic awards!
  2. Hence my feeble attempt to take it to PM. LoL
  3. PM details of the '67 Fury, if you don't mind. Thanks!
  4. I'll be looking in, too.
  5. That would be great, seeing as how these '67s are moving off the shelves pretty good.
  6. I really like those printed gauges. I've been using them for a while, too.
  7. No problem. If you need any more later on, let me know.
  8. Bill, here are some extra hoods I have in the bin: The two on the right front are from '67 GTO kits, the one next to them is from a '66 T-bird kit, the other front one is from a '65 Pontiac kit, I think. The one on the left in the center row is from a '69 Corvair kit. The other three I'm not sure about. Back row, right to left, looks like a '55 or so Chevy hood, a late 80's, early 90's Chevy pickup hood, a NASCAR hood, a Firebird hood, and a '65 ElCamino hood. Let me know if you can use any of these.
  9. I finally opened my two kits. No real surprises in either one of them. Bodies have that brushed metal look, almost like they have been pre-sanded. No damage, and no flash on either one. Tires are plain black in both kits...no sidewall detail. I look forward to having enough room on the bench to start one of these.
  10. That's a TOP SHELF build, in my opinion! Very smooth execution, and a great save!
  11. It's good for a lot of uses: https://www.novuspolish.com/uses.html
  12. I can see a possibility of using these on a model, too. A tiny twist drill might work for the holes.
  13. WD40 can possibly cause stress cracks and/or crazing on polystyrene.
  14. I have some extra hoods in the ol' parts bin. I'll dig them out and post some pics, if you're interested.
  15. Do you prefer a stock hood, or would a custom hood work for you?
  16. I didn't think the paint could get any better, and then you go and do this!! LoL It looks absolutely great! Shouldn't take much polishing with that built-in shine!
  17. Off to a nice start. Rear seat looks good. Engine looks serious! One thing I noticed is the ejector pin mark in the front carpet. I haven't opened my kits yet, so I'm taking notes of what to look for when I do! LoL
  18. Stunning build! I like the colors. There is a '66 a few miles from here in the same colors. In my opinion, the '63 and '66 are tied for the top honors as far as the Galaxie is concerned. And, back in high school, one of my neighbors had a '62 that was black with white interior, and a 406 under the hood.
  19. The AVON trick Steve mentioned should work well. A word of caution about using WD40....it really has to be COMPLETELY cleaned off before trying any more coats of paint. I worked at a mechanical contractor in Detroit for a while, and we built paint systems for the Big Three, plus a couple of the Japanese concerns to use in their assembly plants. They would routinely send inspectors to our shop, and if they found any WD40, or similar products, they would cancel our contract. The claim was that the stuff would cause fisheyes in the paint. Can't have that on a new Cadillac, or Dodge Ram!!
  20. I just about would rather have that color than a factory color. Beautiful Chrysler build!!
  21. Very good save on the paint! The light blue suits the '64 very well. I could use a tutorial on that headlight trick. Hint, hint!!
  22. Grille looks like the one in my driveway. Very realistic. These cars don't look to have that much chrome, do they? Maybe the convertible won't have as much.
  23. Great build with a great color combo! Top notch work!!
  24. I have some of the MM Stop Light Red, but lately I've been using a lot of the Tamiya Clear Red. I wouldn't hesitate to use Model Masters red, though.
  25. Top Shelf build all around!
