This is the recent release kit and I must say it's one of the best kits I've ever built. Very few issues and the fit was 99% excellent. I shortened the frame to 160" wheelbase and that was it for the mods. I've had these 3 colors in mind for the last year, all pearl metallics, gold, orange and red. I had planned to do sharp masked lines and maybe cover the inevitable blemishes with pinstriping. I decided to try a fade blend at the transitions and overall, I'm pleased with the results. As usual, the pics don't do the paint justice as those pearl metallics really pop, especially in the sun. While never a fan of the drink, it does remind me of a tequila sunrise, thus the name.

No, it's 3 foot gauge in 1/25 scale and doens't mate up with any of the standard model RR gauges.

I kinda stumbled on it, seller said he took it to his local hobby shop and the guy said he never saw or heard of it. I searched for info but didn't find a thing. Probably very rare, though they were made for both the Japanese and english speaking markets as the instructions are in both languages.

I was looking for small steamer for a load for my recent Maine Locomotive and Machine Mack R688ST build. I ran across this on an auction site, seemed to fit the bill, 1/25 scale and small enough to be hauled. After I got it built it seemed a bit large but height and width scale ok, the length is a bit long. It's a metal kit, reminds me of the old Hubley metal car kits. Made in Japan under the name Waco. I've searched the internet and couldn't find any info on the kit. Normally, I'd be hesitant to build up a rare kit like this but a previous owner started it so it wasn't anywhere near pristine. I also had thoughts this was more of a fantasy but Baldwin did build these 36" gauge locos for plantations in the early 1900's. A couple stayed in the states and are still preserved, most went overseas.

Well, you got your wish, Jim. Here's a 1/25 scale Baldwin 0-4-2 plantation loco on the back! Loco is 3' gauge.

Great looking build, good choice on the paint. I'm building one now, I also shortened the frame 1", I like the look of the 160" WB. Of course growing up in New England we didn't see many long WB trucks back in the day. I have to admit, it's one of the better kits I've ever built, fit is great compared to the others and instructions are mostly correct.

Well, not in the snowplow kit I have. I'm starting to think they may appear in various kits at various times. I have some tires that have Uniroyal on them in the same stamped letter type, they came with an A-Car A64B kit but other kits don't have them. Could be they get batches of tires which wind up in some production runs.

It appears they come with the re-issue KW Mixer. Not sure how I got my set, as I don't have that kit. Maybe from the KW W925....

Here's a pic of the tire I'm asking about. It's not the General, I have built 2 and only have the one set of tires. Not the Pete Wrecker, not the Int 4300 nor either of the Autocar kits. Given what I've built so far, they might be from the re-issue KW 925.

I used a set of 10x20 Firestones on my recent Mack build. I'm trying to figure out what kit they came from, it is a 10 wheel truck as there were 10 to the set. The Firestone logo was stamped on (not molded in) and is gold colored and outline, not solid. I've run thru my stash of various kits but can't find a match. I only have the one set, so it's not likely from the Autocar A64B as I have used many of them for my Brockway builds. It's not from the Mack R685, nor Freightliner SD/DD nor Pete Wrecker. Only possibilities are the Transtar 4300 or maybe a different run of one of the kits I've mentioned above? Thanks for any help.
