  1. Nice color. Is it paint or the promo plastic?
  2. Thank you for your positive comments. I have to agree about the bezels. It seems thats common problem with various parts in almost any kit, a well as some parts & details being slightly out of scale. I would like them all to be perfect yet I marvel at the very fact the people creating these kits do far better than I ever could and probably have certain parameters & limitations they have to deal with. And then there are the super modelers who have the skills, patience & time to correct those flaws. I am not one unfortunately. Some day maybe...
  3. Very nice. I really like the reworked grille.
  4. Thank you, Jurgen & Jim, for your kind words.
  5. I din't see an answer to this question so I thought I would jump in and answer it - Yes, it does come with an up top. I built 1 years ago. Great kit. . This build thread is very interesting.I would have never thought of making a rod out it. I will continue following along
  6. Thanks! Its good to know its out there. I don't check the military stuff very often so I probably just missed out, and I have only check Ebay a couple of times years ago. I now have an urge to again hunt 1 down.
  7. Thanks. I will have to check them out. I had a Testors WWII Dodge ambulance (think M*A*SH) that I sold because it wasn't 1:24, 1:25 scale. Been kicking myself ever since. I have never seen another & as far as I know its never been reissued after I sold it.
  8. What's up with that? They have lots of cool subjects but missed out on the right scale. What were they thinking? LOL
  9. I have had good luck with good ole Rust-oleum sand-able & filler primer out of the auto section in Wal-mart. I just shot a model with Duplicolor over Tamiya primer without incidence as well. I have also had luck polishing enamel using 10000 grit & finer wet sandpaper & Novus 2 Plastic polish. I miss Krylon's Crystal Clear acrylic Its sad when companies ruin their own product, especially the one's you have come to rely on.
  10. You do fine, excellent work. Wished I had your talent.
  11. I wanna go cruising in that!
  12. The decals look great. I have had some real good experiences with Revell decals, even kits produced 5 years ago. I think the green you mixed is very close to sublime but looks a little brighter & I really like it!
  13. Thanks to all for your kind comments!
  14. Thanks everyone for your kind comments.
  15. Very nice colors - both the body & the seats. What color are the seats? The placement of the stripes are interesting. Is that your idea? I like it. I almost expected them to continue under the hood - down the inner fender &/or across the air cleaner/engine compartment. Very intriguing!
  16. I too like the rear & you did a great job integrating the dual headlights into a car not originally designed for them. Not many have pulled it off as convincingly as you. Great job!
  17. Tom, I really like your 2 tone paint. It looks fantastic!
  18. I used foil except for the fender welt. I didn't want the welt to be as shiny as the chrome in hopes that it would give it a more realistic look. Not sure it really worked out that way though
  19. I built this one maybe 20 years ago. Box stock build. It was my 1st airbrush effort. White walls were also airbrushed using circle templates.
  20. Thanks all for the positive comments! I found some better pics & thought I would add them...
  21. Add Johnt671 & Modlbldr to the list. Thanks guys.. I owe you both!
  22. Not bad!
  23. nicely done indeed!
  24. Ditto & the underside couldn't get more real looking - the best I think I've seen.
  25. I think this is a very cool model. Really like the blue wheels.
