  1. You did a fine job on this Caddy. Excellent fit and finish.
  2. More positive feedback for Vince Nelson (vintagedragcrazy). I recommend dealing with Vince any time.
  3. Great job! I really like what you did with this.
  4. I'm not very experienced in producing shiny paint finishes, but I have found success. I've used Testors, Tamiya and Dupli-Color spray cans with very good results. Primer, followed by color, then several coats of Testors clear. All lacquer products btw. I polished out the clear with a multi-grit polishing cloth kit. There are some good polishing tutorials on youtube. It's easier than you might think and worth the effort.
  5. The carbs are properly oriented for these engines.
  6. Great to see these two again. Excellent work on both.
  7. Much appreciated, John. Your reply helps me tremendously. Glad I asked before I cut. Thank you!
  8. John, my complements on the quality of your work here and on the other lightweights. I'm fitting a Starliner chassis to a '64 Galaxie. I have the rear floor pan notched similar to what you have shown. It looks like I will need to shorten the frame and the gas tank to fit. Has this been your experience in building these cars?
  9. I was thinking the same thing! The dilemma will be whether or not to use a Camaro for Kowalski's wrecked car.
  10. I am planning to add PE saw blades to my tool arsenal. I'm seeking some advice on what would serve a builder of moderate (yet progressing) skill. Seems like I could easily buy a bunch of blades I won't use. What works and what doesn't?
  11. I like the offbeat subject matter. This ought to be a fun one to follow.
  12. I can see all the pics just fine.
  13. It would be nice to have cadmium yellow-gold in a hobby friendly spray can. I don't see that happening, though. It would be a sliver in an already niche market.
  14. I just finished doing the dash decals on my Levin. I'm pretty rusty and it was quite a struggle. If I was to do it over, I would drill out the gauge holes and put the decals in from the back. Otherwise, trim the decals to the small side. Orient them properly before you slide them home. Once in their bores, the decals didn't want to move around for me. My dash is barely presentable. Take your time and plan ahead.
  15. I don't think the term "killer" has ever been more appropriate than here.
  16. Spotless, high quality Ferrari model.
  17. Excellent work! Great paint/foil/decals. May we see an engine shot?
  18. Hard to surpass the result of an EM kit in your highly capable hands, Bill.
  19. I just did a quick test on a Jo-Han '73 Torino's windshield trim. the trim is about 1/32 inch wide. With the 1mm tip, it took two passes to get the trim covered. It looked passable, but a wider tip would go faster and reduce the need for overlapping strokes. Merry Christmas, BTW
  20. The pens come ready to use, John. The ink is already in them. I have a 1mm tip pen. With practice, I did some lug nuts on a 1/24 scale wheel.
  21. At this point, a couple dead guys would still be funnier than the current crop of tv hosts.
  22. According to Speed City Resin, those slicks are not a copy of the Jo-Han slick. How about the Mickey Thompsons from the AMT Baldwin-Motion Camaro?
  23. John, check out Speed City Resin. They have several period style slicks, including these below.
  24. A Corvette for guys who don't like Vettes... I agree with all the positive comments above. You've achieved a classic, iconic look for this one.
  25. Flawless work and great attention-to-detail. I'm a big fan of the subject matter as well. The Hino is a handsome, rugged-looking tractor.
