I've seen plenty of builds with the inner fenders, so I know it can be done. They have a lot of different angles and curves, so it's hard to know where to trim. Hopefully you have more patients than I do.

It's a swamp cooler.

Thanks. The only trouble I had building it was with the inner fenders, I just couldn't get them to cooperate, so I just left them out. Other than that it went together well.

I built this from the AMT kit. I lowered it over eBay wheels and Pegesus tires. A friend gave me the swamp cooler. The plate and side mirror came from my parts box. I made some exhaust tips from plastic tubing. Everything else came with the kit. I wanted to add a visor, but I don't have one that fits right, I'll add one later if I find one.

I actually moved to Utah recently, I guess I should update my profile. I used to live about 10 minutes from where they held the HAMS show and I went every year.

I got this kit from a friend. It had previously been built. The body had been stripped and the chassis was still (poorly) assembled. The hood had been broken and expertly repaired. One of the A pillars had been broken, repaired, and broken again. The front bumper is a Modelhaus repop. It was missing the front and rear valence, engine, steering wheel and core support. The chassis was in such bad shape that I decided I'd lower it to hide it and because the engine was missing anyway, I glued the hood shut. I used a spare steering wheel and core support from a '70 Impala. The rear valence is the custom rear valence from a '70 Impala and I got a resin copy of the front valence from Page Resin. The wheels and tires are from Pegesus.

I started this kit about 5 years ago and recently decided I needed to finish it. It's box stock with some transparent red and blue details. I had a little trouble fitting the body over the chassis, but other than that, it went together well. This one completes my collection of big screen Batmobiles (until someone makes a kit of the Pattinson Batmobile).

Gotcha, my wheel/tire setup is more like the white ones with the low pros from the Monte Carlo SS kit. I'm excited to watch the progress on yours.

Nice work, that looks awesome so far! I'm working on something similar. I widened the stepside fenders to make dually fenders, but I also made them taller so I could lay rocker on semi wheels.

I found this kit for $11 so I figured I'd go ahead and build it. The stripe decals weren't great so I ended up stripping it, painting it red, taping off the stripes then painting it black. Other than that, it went together well.

The box says Orange, but it's white.

The paint is Rustoleum sunburst yellow, right out of the can.

This build started with the wheels. I saw them for sale and I had to have them. I didn't realize they were going to be that big, so when I got them I knew they were going to have to go on a big car and this '70 Impala I had in my stash was perfect! I knew I wanted the car to be yellow, so I painted the wheels to match. I also thought the steering wheel would be a nice touch, so I cut it out of a piece of at plastic and painted it with a molotow pen. Everything else came out of the box, I didn't even have to modify the suspension. I just hope RZA, GZA and Ghostface Killah don't try to Jack me for it.

Thanks. When I built the first issue I couldn't get the door right either and ended up gluing it shut. I don't know if this new issue is different in any way, or if I just have more patients.

I've seen this kit built as lowrider before and they always look great so I wanted to build mine the same way. I lowered the suspension and used wheels and tires from the Cadillac lowrider kit. Besides the license plate, everything else came in the box.

#3 The Accord is done. I got the last of the lights in and she's ready to cannonball.

#3 When I opened this kit the exhaust tip had broken off the muffler and I didn't really like it for this build anyway so I drilled a hole in the muffler and used a piece of solder to finish the tail pipe and piece of tubing for the exhaust tip. I also wanted to give the rear a piece of trim under the bumper to help it look more factory so I used a piece of strip styrene cut to the right length. I sanded a notch in the rear trim for exhaust clearance then painted it flat black. I painted the exhaust tip with some chrome paint then installed everything. I also found a license plate from my spares box. This one is in the home stretch, and should be done soon.
