  1. I got it from J&J resins on Facebook.
  2. I started with the '51 Chevy Sun Cruiser kit. I bought a resin conversion kit to turn it into a '52 that had the bumpers and grill. The resin rear bumper was a short shot and the grill was terrible so I cut the center bar out of the resin grill and put it in the kit grill. I used a resin continental kit, I added a little plastic to the spare so it would sit a little higher and I used the resin front bumper on the rear, I also added some tubing to extend the exhaust. I also made new side trim. I lowers the suspension with the kit drop spindles and de-arched the leaf springs to get the rear down and used some custom wheels and tires out of my parts box. And no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get the inner fenders to fit, so I left them out.
  3. Would love to have some of the old Johan Caddys re-released.
  4. That came out really nice!
  5. 33 Final assembly went great so I'm calling this one done.
  6. 33 After 3 paint jobs I decided that it didn't need to be perfect. After I decided it didn't need to be perfect it seemed to progress a lot faster. I got the front end together with the TONY-P plaque on the front. I also modified the top of the grill so I could install the hood ornament like the 1:1. I also got the rear end and continental kit together. The only rear shot of the Caddy is too far away to make out the rear plate, so I knew I was going to have to make one to follow the rules. Mystery Men takes place in a fictional city, but I felt like it had a Detroit feel so I made some Michigan plates in black with white letters to match the front plaque. More next time.
  7. I used the deck from an AMT trailer and wheels from a Revell kit, everything else is scratch built.
  8. Nice! I built a candy blue slab a few years back, it was a lot of fun. I'll be watching this one.
  9. Great job, I love Cadillacs.
  10. Looks great. The dolly is a nice touch.
  11. Those look great. I like how you did one with the barn doors, and one with the tailgate.
  12. That's cool. I can confidently say that I've never seen one quite like that.
  13. That came out awesome! We need more Cadillacs around here.
  14. Thanks #33 I got the interior and engine bay done. I got the body out of the purple pond and in primer. Hopefully I can get some paint on it soon.
  15. Thanks Bill. #33 I got the interior pan mated to the chassis. I should be able to get the rest of the interior done soon.
  16. I got the spare engine built. The only part I didn't seem to have was the air cleaner, so I grabbed one out of my parts box. I drilled new mounting holes for the front wheels lower and at an angle to give a little more lift and add some positive camber to simulate extended upper a arms. I also lifted the rear a equal amount by extending the rear shocks and adding some styrene rod on top of the springs to look like hydrolic cylinders. I also installed the exhaust while I was at it. I didn't wait long enough between color and clear on the body, so it's in the purple pond. For a mostly box stock build, I'm not having very good luck with it.
  17. I appreciate the offer, but now that I think about it, I think I have one, I cut up 2 of these kits to make a hearse and I should have the other engine still. Thanks for helping to jog my memory!
  18. My puppy got to the engine. It was completely built, I just had a little detail painting to do. He chewed everything off it, only leaving the distributor. I guess Tony P's Cadillac is going to be curbside. At least it's something I can fix by gluing the hood shut. He's lucky he's cute.
  19. I'm planning on using the Cadillac grill from the Revell '48 Ford chopped coupe.
  20. That came out really nice.
  21. That came out really nice!
  22. Thanks. I used the engine from the Deserter kit, it's just box stock, nothing special.
  23. Unfortunately Tony P's Cadillac doesn't get much screen time, so I have to guess at some of the details. I'm going with a white interior with black carpet. I have an extra interior from a Donks kit and I feel like the diamond tuck is appropriate. I also added a shifter to the column, I'm not really sure why Revell didn't include one.
  24. Funny you should mention that. I have a gas can I was thinking about casting so I could paint a couple red for fuel and a couple black for water.
