  1. I drew out where I would need to make relief cuts to widen the body. After I made the cuts I lined up the cabs and glued them together. I like working with some of the older AMT kits, the plastic is softer and lends itself well to customizing. More next time.
  2. Thanks for the comment. The Foose chassis 'not a bad idea, but I think I'm going to try to make my own frame with this one. With all the modifications I would have to do, i think it would be easier. I got an extra cab from a member on another forum and made my initial cuts to make it a crew cab. This will be the 3rd time I've made a crew cab from 2 '55 cabs. At this point it probably would have been easier to have just cast the first one. More next time.
  3. I had an idea for a 55 Chevy truck build and after checking my stash, I realized I had almost everything I would need, so I went ahead and got started. I started by cutting out the inner fenders for wheel clearance, I want this one to lay rocker. I then added new inner fenders made out of sheet plastic. With the wheel/tire combo I'm using ill need as much clearance as I can get. I had an extra set of rear fenders, so I glued each set together to get some extra width. Then I cut out one side of each so i could have extra wide fenders. More next time.
  4. Any updates on the sedanette body? I'm excited to be able to build one.
  5. This is awesome! Do you mind sharing some details on how you built it? My first car was a '72 DeVille, I'd love to be able to make a replica of it.
  6. In order, they are from Knight Rider 2000 Sons of Anarchy Blade Nash Bridges Burn Notice Jon Doe Fast 5 Fast 5
  7. I really enjoy making replicas of tv/movie cars. Here a just a few of the ones I have built.
  8. Nice!
  9. Great job! I've always liked that kit.
  10. That looks really good. Those tail lights are terrible in an otherwise great kit.
  11. Wow! That came out super nice! The tri-9 Impalas are some of my all time favorite cars.
  12. That's cool! Nice work.
  13. Nice Cadillac. Great color!
  14. Nice truck, I like the custom touches, especially the Caddy air cleaner.
  15. I had a '95 9c1. The decal on mine said "Warning: use overdrive durring high speed pursuit." There was another one that said "Caution: close all windows at speeds of 140mph or above." I miss that car.
  16. Nice! We need more Cadillacs around here!
  17. Yeah, I special ordered it for a replica build. I was a little disappointed, it must have come from the end of the lot or something.
  18. A good friend of mine recently took delivery of a 2018 Golf R. Unfortunately no one makes a Golf MK7.5 so I pulled this MKII from my stash. The wheels and tires are from a Revell Civic, the brakes are from my parts box, the paint is a 2014 Mustang color that looks really close to his Golf and I made plates with his daughter's name on them.
  19. I'm working on a replica of the Supernatural Impala using Page Resin's 4 door '67 Impala. Its a decent kit. It comes with the body, flat non-SS hood, door panels and front bench seat.
  20. Here's a mock up of one I'm working on.
  21. Someone posted this picture of the kit they just bought. It looks like they at least fixed the mirror.
  22. What upsets me most about every re-issue of this kit is the suspension. They used the Caprice suspension when the Impala is about 2 inches lower. The optional "lowered" suspension they included in the lowrider version is closer to the stock Impala ride height.
