  1. That reminds me of Condorman. I think this theme will be a lot of fun.
  2. Thanks. Yes, they are the 23" tires. I haven't seen them around for a while, I wonder if they stopped making them.

    '68 Impala

A friend gave me the resin body and bumpers. I used an AMT '67 Impala for the interior glass and chassis. The wheels are from a Revell Escalade and the tires are from Pegesus.
  4. You can build it however you want, that's the fun of modeling.
  5. I just got my '49 Caddy from J&J Resin. It's a transkit for the Foose Caddy. When I heard they were going to make a stock body for the Foose kit I was excited and now that I have it, my excitement was well founded. It's a clean casting with a few pin holes and normal clean up that you'd expect from any resin kit. It comes with the body, hood, front and rear bumpers, grill and tail lights. I have yet to test fit it with the Foose kit. Here's a link to their Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/J-and-j-resin-103120704483470/
  6. That came out great! Nice job.
  7. Nice collection, I'm only missing '74.
  8. My entry is Tony P's Cadillac from "Mystery Men" where he reminds us that "disco is not dead, disco is life!" I used the Revell custom Cadillac lowrider with the diamond tuck interior from the Donks kit. I modified the suspension to sit higher and gave some positive camber to the front wheels to make it look like the hydrolics are locked up. I used a yellow sharpie over some of the chrome for a gold plated look. I modified the kit grill so I could use the hood ornament. I added a continental kit to the rear bumper and made license plates.
  9. That's awesome! I love these kind of out of the box thinking builds.
  10. The Cannonball record was recently broken by a solo driver (and has since been broken again by a team).
  11. I've had this kit in my stash forever. It was in one of the old Wal-Mart only checker boxes. I printed the plates, other than that I built it right out of the box. I had trouble matching the color of the movie car, but I think I got it pretty close.
  12. I built this from the Revell kit as a replica of the '62 Impala from the movie Set It Off with Queen Latifa. I lowered the suspension used Pegesus tires with eBay wheels that I narrowed. The paint is Duplicolor and I made the plates. The movie car doesn't have the bar on the fron bumper and I think I'm off on the paint color a little, but other than that I'm pretty happy with it.
  13. Nice job!
  14. Wow, you really jumped in with both feet. Looks really good so far.
  15. I rebuilt a Road Block a few months ago.
  16. I built this from the tuner version of the Revell kit. I left the rear seat out and the bumpers off. I used custom wheels and tires from my parts box. I chose to paint it yellow with black interior because my grandparents had 2 with that color combo when I was a kid. This was a great kit that went together easily and lent itself well to customizing.
  17. Just a heads up, they're not centered on the 1:1 wheels.
  18. I'm a little surprised the custom wheels aren't plated, but I guess if you're going to paint them anyway, it doesn't matter.
  19. Nice job! That's a fun kit, I've built several different versions over the years.
  20. In ' 72 they moveed the turn signals from the bumper to in between the headlights. I think that was the only noticeable change.
  21. Nice job! My first car was a '72 Sedan DeVille, I've always wanted to build a replica of it.
  22. Wow, that came out great, good job!
