  1. I don't SAVE old gloo bombs, I MAKE NEW gloo bombs!!! Seriously, though, this is an interesting thread. -RRR

  3. very well done.... -RRR
  4. Very nicely done box stock build!!! -RRR
  5. Here's a quick build I slammed together over a couple of weekends. The frame is a vintage Revell Parts Pack "Dragmaster" (the same as the Mooneyes frame without the extra rollbar hoop). The engine is out of the recently reissued MPC Cosmic Charger kit (yes, it includes the front mounted Potvin style blower). Dig those groovy "Imperial" valve covers!!! Power-to-weight ratio is...???? The rest of the parts are scrounged up from here and there. "Little Hoss II" decals from Slixx. I'm not sure whatever happened to "Little Hoss I".... -RRR
  6. Well done, great kits for parts those Tony Nancy kits!!! -RRR
  7. The base color is yellow. -RRR
  8. I built this about 20 year ago or so. The cab is the Lindbergh '34 kit with a scale 3" chop, the 'bed' is cut down from a late '50s era Ford (I forget which kit now). Motorvation is supplied by a Revell Part Pack Caddy mill. Wheels and tires from the Ala Kart kit. Paint is buffed out Testors Titanium Metallizer.... -RRR
  9. Makin' me thirsty for some reason... -RRR
  10. I would look at using some rear fenders from a '50s era stepside pickup. The corners of the fenders would have a similar curve as you need, drag out the scale sawzall and start cutting!!! -RRR
  11. Obviously you don't live in FL. Seeing that color combo always makes me nervous.... -RRR
  12. Sweet. I really like the subtle patina. Nice awards, too!! -RRR
  13. This was one of my first attempts at weathering. The body is a resin item from Altered States Models. Frame is scratch built. The rest of the parts scrounged up from here and there.... -RRR
  14. Yeah, I'm not sure why the pix show up that way... here, try these.... -RRR
  15. The weathering has been well done. Good job, now for that diorama to put it in!!! -RRR
  16. Build 'em, the only things I collect are vintage Revell parts packs: http://public.fotki.com/jferren/revell-parts-packs/ -RRR
  17. Thanks, guys...here's some shots of the frame before the body was dropped on... -RRR
  18. The body started life as the Orange Crate sedan, hacked into a pickup. Ardun powered flattie is from the Revell '50 Ford pickup...decals from our friends at Slixx...build up pix here: http://public.fotki.com/jferren/32-pickup/
  19. WATCH YA FINGERS!!!! -RRR
