  1. Good to know. I got the tip from Teresi regarding his radial engine pickup, ordered from MicroMark a few days ago.
  2. Oh I guess so...... hey, knowing this project in a joke to begin with...... Worked until 1:00 AM, adding engine bay stuff. I chopped up the Monogram chassis to make the bulkhead and radiator supports. I used one of my resin fuel fillers. Some of the little parts await their fate. I am planning to vacuum-form a windshield, even though the kit came with one. Will do the headlight covers at that time. Here you go Dann: Did a couple of parts this morning, before meeting a client. Other rear wheel well cover, and stuck on the Mondial mirrors. I have model club meeting today, so another pause in construction. *Have to* show off the medals I got at Desert Scale Classic.
  3. Fun project! Yea, that exhaust could extend just a little. LOL
  4. You made aluminum hood hinges? I like it, nice job.
  5. Not kits? Wow, very nice work. Vacuum-formed windscreens?
  6. Ditto that! I built one, and sold it. Have two in the stash, like caged tigers. Looks great from here, understand about the ride height, but suspect everyone lowered theirs a little.
  7. That's SWEET!
  8. Excellent all around, from the narrative, to execution. I really appreciate that you weathered it, I do that on most of my builds. I add bug splats too, using gloss clear, black, yellow, and maybe green. You said "I'm not happy with the weathering ..." so assume you think the asphalt dust is too dark, did you use Dullcoat with a few drops of flat black mixed in? But don't worry about it, love it!
  9. Very nice! Call it an accessory belt. Talking about suspension, watch out for how loose the wheels are when plugged into the retainer, seems they never are in alignment.
  10. Nice.... well done. I have that kit, looks daunting with all that chrome. Like how you weathered the bottom.
  11. Thanks man! No, believe it or not, trying to minimize the amount of customization. I did consider it, and making the lower sides go vertical with perhaps a skirt, but nixed it. Also thought about a front splitter. Of course it needs a giant razor wing cluttering up the rear..... maybe not.
  12. I'm not immune, see the Bring Out Your Dead topic, I made some progress last stint, but..... just had to start a new crazy project, so I'm being frantic too.
  13. Love it! That's the intent. Remember, it's just a model. Oh calm down, it's far from finished. I started cutting up the Monogram chassis. I used the front part in the same place, and added a little to fill the gap behind the strut. Also used a piece above the footwell, so you can't see through the model (a pet peeve of mine). Redid the other duct, using the other Mondial door. Then I cut out the engine bonnet! Used more of the door to fill the rear wheel well at the top, but the other panel will have to be glued in after the painted engine is installed. Used the hot-wire many times today. I've been trying to use only the two kits for scratch-building material. Next design-as-I-go is fabricating the engine bay, where the fuel cell will be, have a battery, make radiators, some tube frame, hinge, exhaust tips.
  14. Thank you. I have a rally video to upload sometime, then that's it. I know right? Welcome.
  15. Just attribute to me as the source, dad's name was Lester Womack.
  16. Think it's 1/24 or 1/25, been so long. I was told the aircraft carb is designed for high altitudes, not lugging around on the ground. That looks good!
  17. That one of the AMT Parts Pack engines? I got the Replicas & Miniatures of MD resin copy years ago, had started a project I call Bigatti. I need to do more research to modifying the carb system, and doing oil lines. Thought the GM General transmission and differential would handle the power.
