  4. Gracias pico Mr Payne - do you have any of Etzel’s kits ? Been a while since there was an Etzel build on the forum - just sayin … The instr panel has been sitting quietly in a parts box for months - now installed after gluing the windscreen bracket as shown … on to the steering wheel …
  5. Were the paints the old stock acrylic Or T’s new lacquer paints ? which i happen to like …
  6. There are some details to add to the drivers compartment before the body is glued onto the frame - added a brake line that is braced against the driveline - and a fuel line with a valve - and added a couple more frame members that the body would be bolted to on the one- to-one … and i made an oil tank that sits in the cowl behind the instr dash … amd decided it was time to glue on the shifter …

Gracias - those cool wire wheels are the work of my caster - Harold Bradford - who is casting some wheel spats that i made on my Sherline last year - they will of course cover the wheels - oh well - here’s some progress on the front suspension - finally got the friction shocks in …. Now to the tie rod …
  13. The added length to the axles give the rear wheels and brake drums the correct amount of spacing / stance … and the supplemental friction shocks are epoxied to the frame - the scissors friction shocks will be added once i get my last parts shipment fr Mr Bradford …
  14. stance is always a major concern on a scratch-build - ive done a mockup with the new and improved shackles to check the stance and things look good - the front mite be slightly higher but i can tweek that - so now i can do some more paint and assembly …
  15. For those of you of a tender age - the MRRN publication was the brainchild of the late Michael Quarterman - hardcore sportscar focus with serious research and usually helpful drawings someone with a little time and creativity should figure out how to publish an on line modern equivalent - it would be much much better - - - thinking …
  16. I dunno - those exhaust springs look pretty good ..
  17. Dept of Corrections: didnt want to be correcting / re-making parts in March - but here we go - my rear spring shackles are too short - the axle wont sit in the recesses under the springs - so i had to make longer/larger spring shackles - hate when that happens …
  18. This is good - finish it so that you’ll have something to enter in Salt Lake City ….
  19. Any release date announcements fr Tamiya? Ya know - i have absolutely nothing to build right at this moment …
