  4. The A arms look good with the added wash of paint - and the Revell frame looks a little better than the Heller frame …
  5. All 4 springs have shackles - these are the two shackles for the fronts - the rears have four - slightly different in shape …
  6. There are friction shocks front and back …. I convinced Brad to cast these parts seperatedly - a tricky exercise - each shock has three plates - and each plate has different features - i managed to glue these together with epoxy - so they pivot - that will allow precise location to the mounting points on the frame and the leaf spring …
  7. Next the spring is located on its post at the rear of the frame to locate and drill the hole used to pin the post for the other end of the part … both sides …
  8. So the first issue is the slender neck of the spring - which needs reinforcement …. Thats done with an additional leaf of nickel …. That should be strong enough …
  9. Working on prepping the resin parts fr some new bags of castings - here’s a shot of the rear leaf springs with the original master part above …

  20. By soldering the parts this way - the bracket has good left/right alignment once ive removed the excess copper, brass, and nickel …
  21. Gracias A copper rod was bent to shape and soldered to some brass tube and 2 peices of .022 nickel tube ….
  22. So the “glass” will slide into left/right posts made from a short section of channel soldered to a couple of brass screws …. Like this … next the bracket …

Ive Got a large stash of brass, copper, and nickel rod, tubes and other odd shapes - snagged over decades - sometimes i put stuff away and it disappears - because yup - forgot where i put it - after a furious search of the workbench nooks and crannies i found my super small brass channel - it measures about .032 x .032 - with a channel of about .012 - perfect to hold some .010 clear plastic ….

Mr Bradford has just sent me the final bags of parts - before i dive into them im making the windscreen posts - and the bracket that the winscreen swivels on - the bracket emerges from behind the dash - these two shots show what’s visible … the bracket is probably secured by the four screws that are visible at the edge of the cowl …
