Nice job! Great color choice. Does the kit have the option to build it with the stock Dana 60 rear? I think it looks better that way.

I made one out of strips of masking tape for one of my models. I used pieces of wire to support the top and bottom. You could add seat belt buckles too, although I didn't. I wanted to portray it in the open position and couldn't find anything close.

My plan was to use the back half of the roof from the 65 as well. The only difference I can see is the 66 had slightly more curve at the top back corner of the window.

Just a little something I'm working on for a club Corvette theme build. It's not a true double-ender, but just carries the front-end styling over to the rear. Carving up the sides to mirror the coves would be a nightmare. I'm planning on using red lenses for the rear "headlights" and running the exhaust out through the turn signal openings.

I like it! The paint looks great and I love the dog dish hubcaps. Did you use the recently released version? I almost went with the low and long look but didn't want to deal with the transmission tunnel, so went the 4x4 route instead.

Also, You didn't mention whether the top coat is metallic or not. If it's metallic, the sanded area will look different in the final paint job unless you respray the whole model. If it's a non-metallic color, you may be able to just polish out the imperfection and not respray at all.

Will do! That's an easy fix since it still has the metal axles and the wheels are only glued on one end. Thanks for the tip, I'm not really an off-road guy any more, just having fun with the build.

Absolutely. But I would sand it with 4000 grit first since it's only dust. If that won't get it, you can always go to progressively coarser grits.

Thanks! I had to come up with a shift indicator because the Cummins engine came with an automatic. The indicator is just a piece of Evergreen styrene with some white dots and an orange line painted on. Actually it should be slightly hooded and have closed sides after looking at reference photos.

Thanks. The mirror "glass" is a piece of soda can aluminum polished to a shine. The mirror frames are OOB.

2 original issue MPC cabs cut and pasted to make a crew cab. Short bed made from sectioning a long bed. It took over 2 years to build this one. Scratch built working coilover suspension, front bumper and winch, steering wheel and steering column. Cummins 6BT resin engine from Trailer Trash Kustoms. Scratch built turbocharger. Resin tires cloned from Monogram kit (driver side reversed and Ground Hawg sidewall added because the tires are supposed to be directional). Feel free to comment. Hope you like!

That engine looks awesome. What do you use for the small gauge wiring?
