  1. Nice colors and paint job! Great choice for wheels too! Looks sharp!
  2. Looking like a nice, clean build so far. I definitely need to pick one of these kits up.
  3. More progress on the Camaro from the last couple of days. Finished the interior, wired the engine and detailed the wheels. While I'm working on the suspension/ride height, I'll show my second attempt at weathering an undercarriage. I think I'm liking it! I hope to get the color coats laid down on Monday or Tuesday.
  4. That turned out beautiful!!??
  5. Very well done!
  6. Thanks! You know, I'm kind of torn. I want to do the car as close to what it looked like in the movie as possible, and have spent hours looking at videos and photos to get the last details right, but you are right, those driving lights are just plain ugly...on all of the cars in the movie. I get the use and function, but ??.
  7. Very nice! Might have to pick one of these up for myself.
  8. Looks great so far! What a great method and step by step tutorial for doing flames. I might actually be able to flames this way, thanks again for the step by step breakdown!
  9. Got it in white primer now, just not sure when I'll get to the color coats. Quick mock of the seats on the interior pan, and a shot of the finished dash. I primed the seats with Stynylrez black primer, and liked the way they looked, kind of like the fabric material of many seats from back then, so I left them and just painted the inserts and sides and used some satin clear for the vinyl look.
  10. Thanks! That's one of the shots/scenes that I keep replaying, pausing and freeze framing on my computer to try to get a good look, but just barely can't quite make out the numbers?. I'm going to try to get my youtube going on my big T.V. to see if it comes in any clearer, or if the size of the screen alone will help see it better ?.
  11. Would any of you fine folks happen to have a clear enough picture/view of this movie cars' license plate. I'm currently working on a replica of it and would really like to get all of the details right. Unfortunately, I don't own the movie at the moment and any videos I've seen on youtube all seem too blurry to make out the numbers and letters, let alone the state. I thank everyone in advance for any info.
  12. A little more progress. Got some gray primer on it to see any imperfections that need attention before a wet sand. Then a coat or two of white primer followed by the color coats. The interior is coming along nicely. just some dash detail and that should wrap that up. I'll start on the engine and suspension next after some detail and small parts painting. This is the part that usually slows me down, as no matter how organized I think I am, I always forget to paint some parts or miss a detail or two and have to go back to fix it.
  13. Nice job! Probably a close second to the red '70 Chevelle SS454 as the most iconic Muscle Car, at least in my opinion ?.
  14. Looks great and and a fine color choice!
  15. Nicely done! All three look very good together.
  16. Hi, I just saw this while researching Tamiya TS-89 Pearl Blue on Google. That's a beautiful color and a very nice paint job. My question is what color did you use as a base, as it looks darker and deeper than the can might suggest?
  17. Looking great so far. Fantastic details!
  18. Thank you Francis, I was sweating bullets the whole time ?, lol. This has always been my favorite Camaro body style.
  19. Not really sure on that one, I don't think anyone really knows exactly what year the movie car was. I did a google search to see which years had which parking lights, and from what I could tell both parking light locations were available for each of the '70-73 years of the Camaro. I'll probably file and fill the upper parking lights, as I don't think the fog lights will cover them without looking dumb, lol.
  20. Thanks! I really wanted to be as accurate as possible, so not doing the correct parking lights seemed like it would be too obvious. The parking lights next to the headlights should be covered up by the fog/driving lights that every participant car in the movie seemed to have.
  21. Very nice work! Well done and very cleanly done!
  22. What a beauty! Fantastic job! Love the colors!
  23. Looks good! Great looking interior!
  24. In for a penny, in for a pound. I decided to cut out the turn signal lights on the front valance. I was freaking out every step of the way, but I think they look o.k. Trimmed the scoop a little more and got it placed on the hood. Now I just need to sand the extra putty off and spray some primer on it and see how it looks.
  25. I have heard that also, and that is definitely an option. I have gotten quite fond of Stynylrez primers sprayed through my airbrush over the last few months so I'll see how that does initially and then go from there.
