  1. But with the 40% off, you’re paying around $22 or more depending on original price.
  2. Stopped by HL earlier this week. They had the 1981 Camaro Z/28, the Supra, and the pink ‘57 Thunderbird. None were shrink wrapped. I say this a good potential for some easy swiping tires, spare parts, etc... since the kit boxes are all taped on two sides.
  3. Wow.... you sure know how to take the wind out of the sails. Cry wolf much? Let me instill a little bit of logic.... If someone wanted to attend the show or other outing with lots of people, it’s HIS or HER choice. He/she made the decision to go. We all see folks wearing masks out in public everyday - even in their own car while driving.. It’s their choice and they’re doing everything in their power to protect themselves. End of story. If the individual had indeed passed away, how can you blame COVID? It could be a heart attack, stroke, aneurism, or whatever. What is it with your statement of lawsuit against the venue and its hosts all of a sudden because of insurance companies have a COVID exclusion clause? Aren’t you over reacting a bit too much? How is that a valid argument? If your numbers are low, how is that an argument to win a case if that person died after contracting COVID, the flu or some other underlying illness? In fact, there has not been any disturbing upturn trend of COVID infections or deaths in the news as of late. Are you still with me so far? Let’s take another look at logic.... How is it any different than going to the store, going out to dinner at a restaurant, attending a family holiday gathering (Thanksgiving, Christmas), a New Years Bash, a concert or a Broadway theater show? Are you going to sue your own family member? Sue the restaurant? The store? Sue venue and the performers that put on a show? Sue everybody? These are everyday things folks are doing now. Everybody is happy in finally getting back to normalcy. It has been a tough 2 years for everybody. Now rethink about your statement. Yeah... it sounds pretty ridiculous and your argument point on insurance is pretty weak. There’s no way a judge will award a family member because of wrongful death against a venue, store or whatever just because that person supposedly died of COVID. Like it or not, I think COVID is becoming the norm just like a common cold. Yes, cold weather is coming, so is flu and cold season. We all have to adapt and accept it. The only thing we can do is protect ourselves, stay healthy, get vaccinated and stay home if you feel sick. How hard is that to comprehend and do? Back on track.... if the host of the venue has his reasons due to low membership, lack of volunteers and vendors, no place to host the event, I get it.
  4. Blame it on Hochal. Sorry…couldn’t resist. ? Syrcon resumed last year and this year and everybody was excited to see the event again. Although this years event was a disappointment. Every single vendor present were selling mostly armor kits, hardly any auto, aircraft, ship, or sci-fi/space related kits for sale. I average walking out with at least 7 or 8 kits including raffle winnings. This year, I was determined to walk out with something - 3 kits and went 0 for 6 in raffle drawings. Oh well…. there’s still next year. Methinks your event was cancelled out of fear of a COVID outbreak - a pretty lame excuse or simply too lazy. I don’t know. I’d be ticked off myself. Next year, I’m gunning to attend the Rochester event and Syrcon.
  5. Meh... interesting to watch but not on my must watch list.
  6. Didn’t know he was still alive and just found out he had passed away. One of the greatest iconic rock pioneers of the 50s. Yeah... he had a “personality”.
  7. Yeah.. I laugh when folks in NYC call Albany “upstate”. Pffffttt.... what do they know?
  8. Colonie, NY isn’t Central N.Y. ..... anything Albany way and beyond eastward is considered downstate. Central N.Y. is any place from Utica to Syracuse. Oh yeah, it’s also called upstate NY. LOLOLOL!
  9. None at my Walmart.... ? Oh well....
  10. That’s true. A keen observation on Walmart’s model kit prices.... at least a little than half of those kits can be found in Hobby Lobby. With a 40% sale, it comes out cheaper than Walmart.
  11. Hmm... looks promising since I'm heading to Walmart for my weekly grocery shopping run tonight.
  12. Heh.. sounds like those crooks that ran Internet Hobbies and under other online hobby store names. I got screwed out of $40 yet, I’ll never ever will see the refund.
  13. Oh yeah... I built that kit as a kid.
  14. The first time I’ve heard and saw of this beautiful automobile was a segment on Jay Leno’s Garage with Pitbull. Pitbull really change my view about him. He is heavily involved to building schools and education in poor areas.
  15. And no Home Depot employees or customer noticed another customer was doing the old switcheroo? What about security cameras? Their Loss Prevention staff should have caught it. I guess no one cares anymore.
  16. I have a couple metal axles if you need one. What length do you need?
  17. Hogwash! Never mind scheduling a service call. And they had the balls to charge you for any damages you cause?! I don't think so. Not on my watch. They should have sent the same guys that delivered your chair and fix the problem. That’s call customer service. Nowadays nobody wants to work or give good customer service.
  18. How about a 1956 Packard Caribbean? Ain’t she gorgeous? ???
  19. I never, ever purchase appliances from Lowe’s or Home Depot. I’d rather buy them from an appliance store. At least they’re usually on top of what’s discontinued and available.
  20. Hmmm.... our local HL sells those at $26.99 each. I did pick up another Foose Ford FD-100 kit with 40% off. Far cheaper than what one vendor selling at Syrcon 34 this past Sunday at $27. Got mine for $17 and change at HL.
  21. There’s a solution to dealing with that. Crank your car radio to some AC/DC to drown their rap junk. I do it all the time. They get annoyed too. ROFL!
  22. NYLIBUD.... I’ll up you one. Eggnog has been on the shelves in my local grocery store since the end of August. ‘‘Tis the Season to be Jolly.... ROFL!
  23. Meh.... I’ve watched a few of his videos. They’re ok. I’ve seen some of his completed builds where the tires don’t line up correct to the wheel wells or the stance seems off, not a fan of seeing him use silver markers for window trims, too much time watching him build and paint, etc... I usually mute it and see the sprue shots then skip through his builds/painting processes. Gets boring after awhile since it’s always the same build & painting process and the same engine color, the tranny in silver, etc... Each to his own I suppose.
