Ollie's strike again
BlackSheep214 replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
This time of year, you don’t find them at Ollie’s anymore. None at my local Ollie’s now. -
Reissued kits

Desert Rat van.... great memories building that one as a kid. Ever noticed you don’t see 4x4 vans on the road nowadays as back in the 70s and 80s? -
What would YOU like to see as a model

1970 Dodge Challenger Black Ghost and the upcoming new 2023 Dodge Challenger Black Ghost. Read on in the link below: https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/legendary-black-ghost-dodge-challenger-headed-to-mecum-auction/ar-AA162T4m?li=BBnb7Kz#image=AA163l23|1 -
Next time you go there, inform the LHS owner he’s charging too much and you got yours $5 cheaper for the same product at Hobby Lobby - a saving half of what he’s expecting. I’d be interested in what his response is. LOL!

What about your cable television provider? Seeing you’re in New York, Spectrum Cable does offer phone and internet services in a bundle package.I don’t understand why you would need AT&T for your Internet and phone.

Our New York State Governor really p***es me off. I’ll leave it as that.
-
Probably the reason is he’s basically an unknown up until his death. Hardly a blip on anyone’s radar....

I admit I did forget about Pele. Stanley Mills I have now idea who he was. I didn’t see it in the news.
-
No surprise they’re restocking the same old, same old. I find it funny folks thinks they’re hoping and getting a whole new batch of model kits than the usual stuff.

Yup. The Pope, Barbara Walters, and Don West on Friday, Anita Pointer this morning...

Impressive! I love going to aviation museums. I’ve been to the Air & Space Museum in D.C. a couple times (1984 and early 2000). If anyone ever get a chance to go to Ottawa, Canada do check out a couple museums there - the Canadian War Museum and Canada Aviation Museum. Lots of wonderful stuff to see. The War Museum has a lot of their War trophies of WW2 - Tiger, T-34, Hitler’s car he used for Nazi rallies, etc... Both have a nice collection of Pre WW1 and WW1 aircrafts as well as WW2, Cold War and modern stuff. It was at the Aviation Museum I got my first look at the famous Lancaster and a Bf-109.The 109 isn’t really a large fighter plane but sure look fast standing still. Same with the Lancaster. You would think it’s a fairly large bomber of WW2 but it really not when you study it at first. No different in comparable size to a B-17. I was in awe with the Lancaster bomber. Such a gorgeous WW2 British bomber.

More deaths.... Pope Benedict Don West - ring announcer for TNA Wrestling Barbara Walters - the first female icon who broke glass ceilings in journalism on television And finally this morning... Anita Pointer of The Pointer Sisters, the last of the trio

Watched Glass Onion on Netflix last night. It was pretty good. Also watched Ticket to Paradise on Peacock with the missus and we enjoyed it very much.

Meh... I rarely watch horror movies. In fact, the last horror movie I saw was A Nightmare on Elm Street. Nowadays, they’re too predictable and lack creativity. I prefer the old monster movies of my youth - Frankenstein, Dracula, Creature from Black Lagoon, etc...

Found out the same day the news broke on his passing. He was the only iconic soccer player I knew of during the 70s and 80s. One of the greats. Four World Cups is impressive.

At Walmart (at least one store)
BlackSheep214 replied to Classicgas's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Still no kits at my local Walmart. Must be a regional thing. -
Yup... seat belt parts. The others looks like mirror parts, brake rotor plates, racing seat plates of sorts, grill pieces, steel plates for chassis is my guess. Nice.

Probably restocking on the same old usual stock again. I have no faith of HL ever stocking shelves of a completely new line up of model car kits.
-
Nice! I’ve been wanting to get that kit for some time now. It shouldn't be all that much of a challenge to build. Easy peasy....

That... is a cool kit. I wouldn’t mind building that one. I am curious what exactly are the PE parts.

If know of anyone who has a metal detector or rent one, that’ll work. Hope you didn’t lose it on the highway otherwise the plow probably took it with him down the road to god knows where.
