Createx is a whole different animal airbrushing. I’ve done 2 colors - Wicked Black and Wicked Orange. Took me awhile to figure out which thinner to use. I ended up getting the correct thinner when I was using a reducer. The thinner worked beautifully if the paint : thinner ratio is spot on. Yours look so pretty good to me.

Just revisited this thread. Those are wild paint jobs. Who doesn’t like a classy low rider paint job?

LOL... one left because “it’s too icky” Must’ve been a snowflake who don’t like to get his hands dirty. The project looks great. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty but I sure as heck not experienced enough to help. I’m not afraid to learn.

My local HL never discount anything if they’re not moving be it paint, specialty products or model kits. I guess it depends on the store and region.

I am curious on what traffic ticket charges the builder/owner got after the accident. Most likely inadequate brakes would be one but I’m sure there are others. Unsafe speed under poor braking issues perhaps?

But hey.... at least we can build one in model kit form, put in the biggest monstrous engine possible and not worry about brakes failing, sticky accelerators, or crashing up somebody’s rear end in the process. Maybe the builder/owner should consider a change in hobby choices. It’ll be 1000 times cheaper than rebuilding the 1:1 scale ‘64 Comet. ROFL!!

I hope he doesn’t rebuild because he’s the biggest idiot to IGNORE all the warning signs to begin with. I blame Shawn for going along with wearing just a lap belt instead of the 5 point harness. Heck, even the host admitted he’s no mechanic himself. Ah well, they deserved to be injured because of stupidity. The builder/owner will be bankrupt and probably divorced again before he can rebuild.

Yup. Brakes and the absence of hand brake as well. And not to mention the sticky accelerator.

Not stupid boy racer stuff if you’ve got a 600 plus c.u. big block that gives you 1300 HP under the hood. The frickin’ Comet is built like a Pro Street for Christ Sake! Stupidity is not wearing the 5 point harness to begin with. The owner most likely underestimated the choice of brake system used. In fact, he should have ended the ride when he noticed his accelerator was sticking. Bottom line, the owner is responsible for his stupidity for ignoring the warning signs. My take? I’m glad his Comet was demolished. He deserves it.

Ive already mentioned I’m not a fan of this channel but this ‘64 Mercury Comet is the coolest car I’ve ever seen. But unfortunately we get to witness 23 years of work gone in flash. Just plain stupidity. If you have a 5 point harness, wear the darn things. Lap belts aren’t gonna save you. They’re both extremely lucky they’re even alive. Very cool! What’s not to like about those vintage boats? I came across plans for a boat to build from my dad. I believe it’s the same boat he and his dad built back in the 50s before he went in the Navy.

Now that’s cool! Reminds me something of a replica what Leonardo da Vinci created.
