Now that is a cool Lincoln ragtop. Love the wood grain panel touch.

Crotch rocket bikes don't bother me much but they do go stupid fast on the expressway passing everyone in sight. I usually get nervous I'll find him down the road further in a wreck. These youngsters think it's cool to drive that fast because of the bike they ride.

Stupid youngsters...

Ok, this one really irked me more than anything. I’m sure some of you had this happened to you. A few weeks ago, I get a letter in the mail someone was trying to claim unemployment using my name. Had to report as fraud and contact my employer to check if there was a breach. Thankfully, there was no attempt. I also went through a credit check and they found nothing suspicious thus far. Even my wife got one this time from both the hospital (local hospital did have a data breach in the news a week or so ago) and our pharmacy. Too many people got too much time on their hands durin* the pandemic to commit fraud from their homes.

Warm weather is upon us (finally) and it always irks me when those stupid ricers are out and about revving, speeding, gunning while sounding like lawnmowers and weedwackers on crack. The god awful noise it makes thinking it sounds cool. I’d rather hear classic muscle car noise than those crazy kids ruining a perfectly decent import.

In what vehicle did you learn to drive?

High school Driver's Ed class was the Dodge Aries K both automatic and manual (on the floor). -
I attempted to type several responses to your comment above and deleted them several times before posting. So, I'm going to make it painless as possible not to hurt your feelings. You made your opinion that it's a "lousy" kit. Fine. That's your opinion. End it now. Nobody cares what you say at this point. I have the exact kit myself and I have full confidence in myself mine will come out just fine - warts and all. Besides, I love a challenge. As you have noticed, there are several '57 Chevy kits in this thread - including the AMT kit. All fantastic builds. I've had my share of horrible kits in my lifetime - not just cars but all genres and brands. Aircraft, Armor, Ships, Sci-Fi, you name it... I've done it all. I can count on one hand how many kits I've trashed in my 40 plus years of model kit building. This is suppose to be a relaxing, enjoyable hobby. There are ways you could do to make it a great kit. Improvise the issue at hand. Figure out how to fix it. What would MacGuyver do? Perhaps try to swap another firewall from another '57 Chevy kit. Maybe an aftermarket resin firewall. Put a little heart and soul with a side of effort into it. A little goes a long way if you put your mind to it. Happy Modeling!!

Dark Green 4 door 1973 Pontiac Le Mans. Man, that thing was a boat when you're 17! LOLOLOL!!!! -
I gotta admit... those are cool Mustang kits - especially the Cobra R. I wouldn’t mind getting that one.

Taking it too seriously? Far from it. Besides, I noticed every single post from the OP has been removed. He did say he had a Tamiya 1957 Chevy kit for $40 - not a "what if" kit. Oh well...
-
So... I take it there is no proof of a Tamiya 1957 Chevy kit. The OP has yet posted a pic of it.
-
Just caught up on this. Love the color choice and she’s a beauty indeed! Well done!!!!

I looked in Tamiya website and I do not see a 1957 Chevy kit. Tamiya usually has super cars, racers, motorcycles, and other imports in their automotive line. I even looked in eBay and a search comes up zero results. I also looked in scalemates website and even that search didn’t yield any proof. I’m finding it very hard to believe Tamiya released a ‘57 Chevy Bel Air Kit. Show us a pic of this Tamiya ‘57 Chevy kit....

Yup. I use that too. They also have it in white primer too.

You still have a Kmart?!?!? Kmart in my area has been closed since the early 80s.

Craig... it has been a long while since I heard any further updated news regarding Testors Model Masters paint line. I didn’t think Pactra paint line was still in existence. That threw me off when I read that announcement. Wow... how’d they figure it’s not generating sales? In my opinion, I think they want to get out of the model paint related paint business line. I did stop by my local HL last night. All Model Master paints are marked down at $.99 cents each, ( regularly $3.99 each) and rattle cans are marked down at$1.59 each (regularly $5.99 each) I picked up a couple colors I needed. Funny observation though.... each color slot were crossed off. I’m really curious if Hobby Lobby has any plans to replace Testors with another line of hobby paints. Perhaps Tamiya or Revell (one could only hope and wish)? I mean, what’s the point of selling model kits if they can’t provide more choices in model paints besides the Testors square bottles.

Hmmmm.... no plates and a flat tire. Maybe somebody is looking to ditch it on the street. LOL! -
Everybody keeps saying Model Master paint line are going away. Last I heard, only certain Military line of colors are being discontinued. Auto colors are still sticking around and those little square bottles too.

While mowing the side lawn on my tractor, I saw a 1923 Model T Depot truck. Waved to the guy letting him I liked his ride. LOL!! It was immaculate and oh so perfect. Next time I see him, I'll wave him down and see if I can go for a little ride and talk to him. Doesn't hurt to try.
