The postman came today. The Jinx Express (ex Fast Buck) and The Trojan Horse; both I've done when I was in my early teens. The Jinx Express is for my sister as a surprise since she used to do model kits when we were kids. The Great Street Machines '67 Charger is a kit I've been wanting for a looong time. The other from that series I'm still hunting for on eBay is The Streaker Vette. I loved that kit back then. Just haven't found one at a fair price I'm comfortable with.

What did you see on the road today?
BlackSheep214 replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The Reaper is a military drone. So is the Predator. Most likely heading to the New York Air Guard runway nearby. -
As long as they come out with a GT hardtop and ragtop versions.

What did you see on the road today?

Not on the on the road but up in the sky flying low. My wife had a doctor appointment out in Rochester and while we were passing through Syracuse on the NYS Thruway, I saw a Reaper drone flying overhead. That was the first time I saw a military drone in flight. I looked as if it was on approach to land at Syracuse airport nearby. -
Reminds me something Hot Wheels would create. Interesting subject. Well done.

Now if only somebody can come out with a model kit of a 1964 Dodge Dart...

The stupidest thing I ever saw. Why ruin a perfectly nice import and do that. No lie, last year I saw one of those ridiculous donked out ricer Civics lose one of their tires as it rolled across 4 lanes of traffic. The passenger ran across the highway to retrieve the runaway tire.Never laughed so hard in my life. Yeah, he heard me laughing hard since I was sitting at a red light. -

Back in ‘79 or ‘80 I built the MPC Flip Nosed Corvette Kit (the red one) and I loved it. Never had issues with it then. So, I’ve always wanted to have another crack at building another. Can’t remember where or how I found another but I knew it was a reboot of the original. Last year, I worked on it and it literally fought me all the way with the hardest fight was dealing with the exhaust pipes since it came in 3 pieces. Plastic was so warped, I literally used Gorilla glue to get it to hold in place. I even had to use Gorilla glue to attach it to the engine. I can’t tell how many times I’ve came close to putting a hammer to it but I kept soldering on to completion. That kit was posted here in my 2020 builds thread.

Last night, a ‘67 GTO since I knew who the owner was. This morning on the road... 1959 Corvette in Clinton, 1968 Chevelle SS in New Hartford, 1974 Plymouth Road Runner in Utica. This afternoon, 1967 Camaro in Herkimer. Tonight, on way to picking up take out, 1965 Ford Mustang. That’s more I usually see on the road most days. -
Who needs plastic?

I’ve seen those before. Expensive. Very expensive depending on stone type. I’d love to see how it’s made though. -
The old Monogram kits from the 70s and 80s were super easy.... better than AMT. I’ve always liked the old Monogram kits and MPC kits. Keep in mind, they’re from old molds from the 70s.

Yes, the Old Pro Nova kit is a re pop of the original. I did this kit back in the mid to late 70s and loved it. I need to get this one again.
-
I’ve done the ragtop version. I need to get this one.

One thing that really, really irks me... no... annoys me are these folks wearing pants halfway down their arse. Really? Are you really that desperate to be "open for business?" I coulda made a killing with selling belts. My slogan would be BLM as in Belt Loops Matter!?

I love Dodge Darts. Well done! What shade of orange did you use for the engine?
