  1. BlackSheep214 is self explanatory - VMA-214 BlackSheep squadron
  2. That’s basically about the range I post an offer on any kit. Sometimes, I’ll try $10 below their asking price. Of course I factor in S&H on top of it. $10 - $20 less than the seller’s asking price is a fair offer IMO.
  3. That... is gorgeous. Who doesn’t love the lines on this old girl? Now why won’t Revell, MPC, AMT, or somebody produce a 1964 Dodge Dart GT kit? Heck, why not a 1964 Polara 500?
  4. Flea markets and antique shops are great places to find model kits. Even an antique festival of sorts can yield some hard to find kits at a decent price (depending on the dealer). That reminds me, I need to hit a few flea markets in my area. LOL!
  5. ...this morning was interesting. It started off with her sending me a pic of a gorgeous ‘65 Chevy Impala. She’s told me she’d drive that in a heartbeat. LOL! But what she said next was spot on.... the classic cars of yesteryears were the best cars. No computer modules, no electronic BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH and made in the USA. Cars of today have parts made in Japan, China, or Lord knows where. Nobody builds complete cars, including parts made, in the USA anymore. I told her those were the glory days of classic cars. When I told her my wish is I want to get another car which happens to be my first one - a 1964 Dodge Dart, slant six, push button automatic transmission in dark blue. (Let’s see if today’s kids can figure out how drive that! LOL!!) If I do get lucky with another ‘64 Dart, I’d get the GT and put in a high performance turbo slant six under the hood. Hey...gotta make her a sleeper Mopar muscle car She told me her dream was to get a Dart too (sedan or wagon) or a ‘61 or ‘62 Ford Falcon wagon that my grandparents owned when we were kids growing up. A Plymouth Valiant my dad once owned was mentioned but she can’t remember what year his was. Others mentioned are Ford Fairlane, Plymouth Duster, and Chevy Impala. In fact, she’ll take any classic car that looks good. My baby sister has good taste in cars. LOLOL!
  6. That's because it's a re-pop of an older Ford F-100 kit. Yes, it is a great kit and is well put together.
  7. The closest thing? Far from it. The only brands they tend to stick with are Bandai, AMT, Airfix , Revell and maybe an occasional Tamiya and MPC - if you're lucky.
  8. No surprise there. They have zero clue about what the consumer wants to see in their stores.
  9. Admit it.... the Bonehead laughing gas scene was hilarious. ?
  10. That’s pretty much a typical stock Hobby Lobby have on display in all their stores.
  11. I gave up on bidding anything on eBay a long time ago because of that reason.... too many snipers and I hated them. Still hate them now. But, I never send nasty emails to snipers. What it is, is what it is. I’d rather use the “Buy now (or Best offer)” feature. I do like the Best offer because you have the opportunity to give the seller a fair and reasonable counter offer. It doesn’t hurt to ask if you don’t try.
  12. Neither does my local Walmart. We have about 5 Walmart stores within 25 mile radius (North Utica, New Hartford, Rome, Herkimer, Oneida).
  13. Yup... that's basically what my HL has in stock. Not worth making a stop for...
  14. Their military kits are pretty dismal.... mostly Revell or Airfix - not that there’s anyth8ng wrong with Airfix kits. Armor is usually Tamiya and maybe Monogram. I usually make a stop at HL every 2 or 3 months or if I need paint/supplies. Honestly, every Hobby Lobby store is different so you never know until you go.
  15. Fun fact...., they don't care because 99% of customers are crafters, not model kit hobbyists. So your argument and view of Hobby Lobby is pretty much a moot point.
  16. If its advertised as ALL model kits at 40% off you get 40% off on all model kits, not just one.
  17. Another decent movie on Netflix....The Vault. It’s about thieves breaking in the most secured bank in Spain during The World Cup. Cleverly put together and entertaining. I’m hoping they’ll do a sequel to the first one.
  18. Stock air cleaner on a gasser engine? Starter in front? The whole thing is a hot mess....
  19. I never understood the rage of this "drifting" craze. What's so great about it? It's nothing but a fast way to ruin a perfectly set of tires? I don't get it.
  20. I'm not impressed with his show or work either. Counting Cars with The Count is ok but not the greatest. Tolerable to watch. Rawlings' show I forget the name of his show... I cannot stand him at all.
  21. Exactly! That's what sets the bar so high from the others, including Chip Foose. You get to see the amazing metal fabrications they do. Martin Brothers even bought new equipment like the metal laser cutting machine. You get to see the everything including the break down of the car, new engine installed, bodywork, priming and painting involved. Name one auto reality show that shows what Martin Brothers do. I can't think of one at all that impressed me.
  22. Iron Resurrection doesn't do flames and skulls on every single build. Watch it sometimes. You will admit They are better than any of Chip Foose builds and way more talented than him. Yeah, that copper color on the '36 Hudson is sweet. I love it how it looks in the sun. Sad to hear their client, Dean it was being restored for passed away.
