Amateurs.... after my dad died in 2017, I was the unfortunate one to get the house cleaned out and emptied. When I started in my mom (mom died in 2013) & dad's bedroom closet, I found yarn stacked from ceiling to floor. I mean the closet was stuffed to the gills that you would be afraid to open the closet door. Don't ask how many spools of yarn there were but it BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH near filled 1/4 of the Bagster dumpster.

Oh boy...watch .... here comes the revolt from Ford Mustang junkies. If that is the supposed new “Mustang”, that is wrong! Everybody from the top down, including the CEO and designers should be fired. -
Box turtle I'd save. Rattlesnake? No way.

I knew it wasn't going to be a sedan because Ford has ceased productions of all sedans and compact/subcompact cars. Methinks maybe in size similar to the Honda Ridgeline? -
Nope... if I saw a rattler in the road, he’s gonna get squished. No way imma gonna save his or risk my own life over a dangerous rattlesnake.

I'm not much into sci-fi that much except Star Wars. Unless it's well written and produced. Horror movies... God, how I hate them. Always too predictable and boring. Half the time, I fall asleep during them. LOL!!!

"Company policy" my ***. I have a big mouth (ask my wife and my co-workers LOL!) and I will not hesitate to give them a piece of my mind. I'm 56 years old and I DO NOT need a chaperone; and yes, I am going to use a basket for my purchases. Now Walmart self check-out, they will flag an employee of any spray paints being sold. That's not an issue since you have to be 18 to purchase spray paint.

Good to know.. Definitely will keep my eyes peeled for this one.

worst commercials - i have to mute the tv
BlackSheep214 replied to youpey's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Folks in the advertising business have ZERO creativity today. Not like it was back in the old days. I'd say a majority of commercials nowadays on TV are either hawking auto insurance, mobile phone carriers, and prescription drugs. However, George Carlin tells it best... "Holy Grail" Models?

Heh... I fondly remember seeing that kit at my local Kmart back in the 70s. Loved how it described it the Quarter Mile Smile on the box. Lmao! -
"Holy Grail" Models?
BlackSheep214 replied to Billy Kingsley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It can be my kit; be it auto/truck, armor, aircraft. I have a few on top of my head I’d love to get another shot in building it again. Smokey the Convoy Chaser Dodge Dart Streaker Vette from Great Street Machines Series Off Road Camper Dodge Truck with Suzuki Motorcycle KISS van- I know for a fact this kit is rare and fetches top dollar for a sealed kit. “The General” Locomotive kit Budweiser Clydesdale 8-Horse Hitch Wagon. A little story on why. Read on... I was about maybe 12 years old as I received it as a Christmas gift. I spent a good 2-3 weeks building this kit and was proud of it. My parents had a shelf where I could display it in the DR. It stood there for two weeks until one day I came home from school to find it broken in pieces. Apparently mom decided that shelf needed dusting. It was then she accidentally dropped the whole thing to the floor. Needless to say, I was pretty upset over it. I mean really, really upset that I didn’t speak to her for 2 days. I’m sure she felt bad about it even after I tried to mend it all back together. It was no use since the wagon was the main part that was destroyed beyond repair. No matter how hard I tried, I simply tossed it. Funny thing...she never dropped “The General” locomotive kit though. There are others from my youth I have high on my list with hopes of acquiring again. So far I managed to grab a few from my past. -

I fast forward the commercials since most of my shows are DVRed. I rarely watch cable TV on scheduled time slots. -
Looking good so far. I used to watch Chip Foose’s creations on Discovery Channel(?). But the more I watched it, the more I hated his creations as the shows and episodes went on.

Mostly images of strictly stock classic cars but I’ll give it a little touch of muscle under the hood and rims.

Holy cow! Talk about a blast from the past! My sister did that kit when we were in our early teens. A fantastic find indeed! I just love seeing folks finding these old kits. Brings back a lot of memories from my youth years building models.
