.....should retire their line of model kits. Never was a big fan of his show. They should replace it with Iron Resurrection creations instead. Just finished watching an episode of this week’s show where they did a 1936 Hudson Terraplane truck. Gorgeous !

Last night on our way to ice cream stand, saw a motorcycle with a sidecar in front of me as I just entered the expressway. When I finally was able to pass him, I realized he was driving a Korea War vintage military motorbike with sidecar. Very cool to see. -
What did you see on the road today?
BlackSheep214 replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
On my way to the ice cream stand with my family, I passed an garden center and saw 2 trucks and a late modelFord Torino for sale. Hmmmm....gotta stop on the way home to check it out. And I did. Got out and found out it was a 70’ Ford Torino GT; dark maroon, original stripes on sides, shaker hood, louvers in back window, A/C, Utah car and ... ready for this? An 8 track player. There’s even an 8 track cassette sitting on the front seat.? Asking price: $32,500 -
I use old hand towels. Cheaper than buying paper towels....

Syrcon returns for 2021 !! First show since the pandemic shut down everything. I'm so looking forward to to this one. IPMS Syracuse -
Why not inspect it first at an empty register before paying for it? have an employee watch you as a witness. I would have done that first.

If you have Netflix, check out Gunpowder Milkshake. Very entertaining. LOLed at the Boneheads' laughing gas scene.

Well BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH... I didn't notice if it was http, not https

Why bother putting that back on the shelf if there are misding pieces????? Pure laziness to send it back to the distribution center. Either that or the employees has no clue. I wonder if they're selling it at regular price - missing pieces or not. LOL!

Last night, I wanted to visit this site on my iPad and I got a notice it was "redflagged" as unsafe because the potential to steal my financial and identity. Did anyone get that notice? I'm using my phone and didn't have an issue. Didn't try my iPad again yet but will try again tonight. I know I didn't get redflagged on my PC.

New Dodge Muscle Car for '24?
BlackSheep214 replied to MrObsessive's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I get it. Now we wait to see for the first look reviews and performance results on the test track. It will be interesting to see if Dodge can put up these numbers comparable to a Ferrari or Tesla. -
New Dodge Muscle Car for '24?
BlackSheep214 replied to MrObsessive's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
On the test track with professional drivers maybe. With ordinary drivers on the highway, they'll burn rubber on the tires before they actually get a move on. 2 seconds is like warp speed. -

0 to 60 in 2 seconds? Yeah right. That's like blinking twice. False advertising. In reality, it's impossible to hit 60 mph in 2 seconds - electric car or not. -
For those who a huge fan of KISS, watch KISSTORY on A&E channel. It is a 2-part biography (2 hours each) documentary. Very well put together and enjoyable to watch.

Wow! Video of purchased collection!
BlackSheep214 replied to Tom Geiger's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That was my point. I agree Andy didn't have to create a video but he should have ripped a new one into his so-called "vintage model car expert" friend for posting his blog rant video. I have no doubt Andy's shop is a great shop to visit. -

Arguing? Jealousy and anger? Jealousy because no one lives in or near Phoenix area? Give me a break. No one really cares to be honest. I had even thought of emailing him to ask if he was selling any of the duplicates find online but decided against it. Andy probably already had made his own plans what to do regardless and we all know his loyal regular customers are getting first dibs on them. That's not fantasy, that's the reality of it. No one cares and that's strictly Andy's business decision. It's his right. As far as supporting your LHS goes... I've always supported my LHS (as does everyone else) but you really need to wake up and take a good, hard, look around you. They are a dying breed EVERYWHERE coast to coast. Hell, even while on my family vacation I returned from last night, I couldn't find a single LHS in Cape Ann area where we were staying. Had there was one, I'd go and support him. I'll support any hobby shop if I find one wherever I've gone on vacations or day trips. They do appreciate the business when I talk to the LHS owners and inform them I'm on a family vacation. They love hearing this and are grateful. It gives them hope to stay open. In my area, we had 3 or 4 at one point in the last 30 years, with the last one closed 4 - 5 years ago. It's not because nobody's giving him the business. Owners are getting older in their 70s and 80s and retiring with no one else to take it over. Other reasons can be the area has gotten so bad and crime ridden it cost them too money to pack up and move elsewhere. So they close up for good and sell. K&K Hobbies is one I often frequented to closed down because the owner - whom we never see but his one and only staff runs it for him - decides to sell. I still miss going there to this day. The second video of the self claimed "model car kit expert" yammering and defending Andy's Shop only stirred the pot to the rest of us only made everybody's impression of him as an A-hole. Why bother? Unless he really loves to hear himself talk about the assumed "jealousy" by everyone of Andy's "biggest fantastic find". Andy isn't the only one who scored big on that "find". Oh, let's not forget he's going to play "cop" because Andy got ripped off and is determined to find the thief. How many LHS has gotten ripped off under the owners' noses in the past? -
Just watched Midnight Run with Robert DeNiro on Netflix. I enjoyed it.

And you’re one of Andy’s loyal regular customers, eh? Good for you....? No one cares anymore.
