  1. Funny... last night I found the same exact kit on oldmodelkits website. https://www.oldmodelkits.com/index.php?detail=48006&page=8&cat=Military Aircraft&manu=Monogram&erl=Monogram-1-72-Boeing-B-52D-Stratofortress-with-Jet-Sound-PA215
  2. Yeah, their WW1 aircrafts don’t take up much room on display shelves. That’s why I love to tackle a WW1 aircraft kit and challenge myself to doing riggings. Other than the 1/32 Sopwith Camel, I’ve got the 1/48 scale Stearman to try riggings.
  3. I don’t think it’s a shifting from model cars to aircrafts. I started out doing autos and gained interests in aircrafts as well - WW2 to modern jets. I tend to take breaks from certain genres of model kits be it aircraft, ships, armour, or autos/trucks. It keeps my creative juices going without getting bored sticking with one particular genre constantly. Most of my stash are aircrafts and a couple of armour kits. I a man slowly building up an auto stash and been wanting to get a few Navy ships as well. One particular ship model I’d love to get my hands on again from my youth years is Jacque Cousteau’s Calypso Research boat. It included a helicopter, shark cage and shark.
  4. That’s gonna be a bad @$$ two tone color scheme. But enough of that... we wanna hear her purr and growl with the pedal to the metal. Looking good!
  5. Wow... a great find! Thanks for sharing! My guess those were either from the ‘50s or 60s.
  6. Where you at? I'd come over and help ya. Lol!
  7. Welcome! Now go and recruit more members from SA to come here instead of FSM. It’s more better here than “over there”. I don’t believe one second FSM will cater to auto modelers in their forums or their FSM magazine. FSM is like junior varsity. You’re in the big leagues now. Welcome to the big leagues. LOL!
  8. I've done a good number of van and truck kits in my younger years. Dodge Off-Road Camper, Monogram GMC Jimmy, Chevy Luv, Warlock, Lil Red Wagon, Foxy Box, the KISS van, Hijacker, Street Connection, Kandy Van, Monogram Street Van. Vantastic to name a few. Anyhow, I came across this one and never seen it before. I wonder if anyone has one in their stash? Definitely a cool truck.
  9. Wow!! imagine doing the decals of that one. LOL!! Yeah... I'd do it!!
  10. Those monogram kits brought back fond memories of my youth. I did that van kit as well. Anyone remember the AMT Foxy Box van kit? That was my first van kit.
  11. Got this in the mail today. The best part is it's still in its original shrink wrap. I did this kit when I was about 10, 11, or 12 years old. I've been wanting to do this kit again for quite some time now.
  12. HA! I remember building that kit when I was around 10, 11, or 12 years old. I loved those Tom Daniels Design kits by Monogram. I've done quite a lot of them, They were so simple & easy to put together. But, that is a different look on Lil' Coffin kit. Nice!!
  13. No pic but did see a 1966 Chevy Impala - blue with white convertible top, chrome Cragar rims. Exactly how I envisioned I wanted if I had owned one.
  14. Yeah... those are definitely oldies that brought back a flood of memories of my younger years. I had done the 55 Chevy Street Machine in the 70s and my sister did the California Street Vette Kit back then too. Told her what I got and she asked if I remembered the huge Corvette kit she did. I knew what one she was talking about. Talk about taking up a good chunk of display space. LOLOL!
  15. Whenever my family & I plan a vacation getaway for a few days, I always check to see if there’s any hobby shops wherever we’re going to. The missus hates it when I mention “ Oh there is this one hobby shop like to check out...” ?
  16. Let's all agree to disagree. Theres no way anyone is going to force another to change their mind on what's right or wrong, what looks stupid or cool, or whatever. Everyone has their own taste of what looks cool.
  17. Man.. I'd be bankrupt before leaving the country to the USA. LOL.
  18. Different strokes for different folks.... Here's the thing... ricers think they made imports cool again by adding all that aftermarket BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH,.lowering their ride and the exhaust sounds like $#&*%. Oh let's not forget they donk their tires. Why? Where I'm from, potholes gotta be murder on them. I cant count how many times I see them gunning and roaring off at a stop light towards a rough patch of road. You suffering see their tail lights light up one a Christmas tree braking until it's too late. Yup... sparks and pieces of plastic body parts go crack in the process. I drive by shaking my head at the stupidity.
  19. Wow. I’d have a field day in hobby shops in Japan and/or Hong Kong. LOLOL!
  20. I watch a lot of Iron Resurrection on tv and these guys know how to use the right stance for these low profile tires and their builds. Every single one of them are phenomenal.
  21. Hate them as well. Again, it depends on the classic car or truck. Mostly they look ridiculous overall.
  22. Just found this. Incredible work. I love it!
  23. A cool kit definitely!
