  1. I agree. I think that’s why there was such a big uproar over losing Scale Auto magazine and it’s a huge shock at the announcement and no one is happy about it. I build aircraft mostly myself as well as a small amount of armour. I’ll build anything that piques my interest.
  2. Now that’s an oldie.
  3. Racist comments? By whom?
  4. Not really. They were planning on shutting down the forums and website along with the magazine back then when the news first broke. Speculations ran amok back then. That’s why there was such a big uproar over in FSM. Everyone knew they were going to do this. Kalmbach is slowly killing their publication. FSM claimed they will feature the scale auto section in Fine Scale Modeler magazine. Yeah right, we’ll see.... It'll be interesting if they offer subscription refunds to those who renewed subscriptions to Scale Auto prior to the big announcement. FSM only caters mostly to aircrafts, armour, science fiction, ships, and figures. A very tiny percentage to auto related subjects.
  5. I remember that kit when I was in my teens. I hand painted the camo scheme. LOL!
  6. Wow. Very nice! Didn’t know there was such a kit called The Black Widow. What year is that kit?
  7. I’m out of words except... Wow! I love the stance on that beast. Well done! Enough to send the ricers into hiding.
  8. Oh man, that is super sweet! Now if only Hobby Lobby can get it in stock....?
  9. Now that...is waaaaaay cool!!!!
  10. Hmmm... went last Tuesday but not sure it’s worth another stop if they have the same stock.
  11. FSM is a joke. So is Aaron Skinner and Elizabeth Nash. I told them to ban me after one member by the name of GMorrison reported me after I called him out. They even went far as monitor my posts before accepting them. FSM always seem to favor GMorrison than listen to other members complaints against him. Several members have left FSM because of him since. If you can’t stand political correctness, don’t go to FSM.
  12. Old news. There’s been a big uproar over it at FSM a month or so ago when the news first broke.
  13. Oh, how I hate molded in rear suspensions and axles in kits.
  14. This definitely brought back memories. I did that kit in my teen years. I’d love to get another someday. Looking forward to seeing more. Keep’em coming!
  15. I owned the '78 Monte Carlo. Blew up the 305 engine, had a 350 put in, slapped on some Cragar rims on Dunlop GT Qualifiers My sister had that kit back in our younger years. Yours came out simply awesome!!
  16. Hey now... I need one of those bumper stickers. ?
  17. I'd love to walk around the junkyard too. Nowadays they won't let you unless you have a reason to go in there without trespassing.
  18. I know the feeling. That's why Krylon is banished from my paint stash. Ruined a perfectly good model aircraft because it that Krylon garbage. Hate'em!!!
  19. I hate Krylon paint. I use Rustoleum 2 in one primer and paint rattle cans.
  20. Nice collection!! But.. no blue line slicks... ??
  21. I think the grey primer is what made it look darker (not purple as you say) Then again, it could old paint sitting on their shelves too.
  22. I saw that episode last year. Scary to see but glad he wasn't seriously hurt.
  23. On the road on way to my next courier stop, a Hobby Lobby tractor trailer went by me heading to what I suspect my local HL. Since I was going to be on that end of town later tonight to pick up take out for dinner, my hopes went up. Sure enough, there was a open box in the models aisle. Picked through it and found nothing of my interest. My original intent was to pick up that lone Foose ‘53 Ford F100. My heart almost sank when I didn’t find it but there it was - moved to top row shelf space. No price sticker on it but later found it was $26.99 before 40% sale price. It has been a great day.
  24. Hmmm... interesting. I was going to replicate wood planks in a '53 F100 using thin balsa wood and stain them. My thought is measure each, cut out the plastic ones and somehow brace them and install the real wood on. Just haven't really nailed down my method yet. Time will tell.... I'll probably buy those stain pens and polyurethane spray to seal them in. I don't think they come in polyurethane pens.
