Very nice and the window black looks crisp, one of the hardest elements of these kits. I was a big JS fan when he ran the #24 modified. He was very approachable at the track and always took the time out for the fans. The local "hot shoes" would hole up in their trailers after a race.

I have wet sanded off stubborn pieces of decals that failed the tape trick. My fear was I would be pulling off the paint with the tape.

In my last FB days in 2019, I found it very tough to navigate and find things again. It could be overwhelming. I have family that LIVES on FB, take a good poop... post it on FB. Everyone on Randy's forum were great. I was a Hobby Heaven member for a while, but found it way too easy to get into fights with members. Someone always had a chip on their shoulder. I said adios to that around 2012.

The AMT kits with the steerable wheels always were good builds. The '56, '57 Fords, the '58 Chevy.

That was funny. If you ain't first, you're last... I had been around NASCAR tracks for a while, I was a licensed driver in street stocks, bombers, limited late models, etc from 1979 to 1987. Truly the tracks put up with little nonsense like DoT had. One guy I raced with had to fly down to Daytona to get his license status straightened out.

I have at least 1 of those, I built the coupe. Even the box was mint.

The car looks great, but I will call DoT the worst racing movie ever made. Very unrealistic and Cruise stole his character name from Dick Trickle.

I had an irregular heart beat since around 1987. I attributed it to the use of "certain substances" which I stopped doing. I had an AFIB event at my heart doctor, he previously said I had a valve issue, which shows up on ultrasound tests. So I had an ablation done and it was good for a solid 8 months, I may need another one. But I continue what I need to do. The pool filter motor swap from Thursday is going strong. Saturday morning my son came over (was hot by then...) and we removed 2 maple tree limbs that would be in the way of the shed I have to order. One was close to 5", the other maybe was 3". We had the whole thing done in an hour flat including clean up. The kid knows how to work. Sunday I was outside by 6:30 taking pinstripe tape off my Belair. It was cloudy and cool. Then the sun came out, so I retreated inside with the AC and even took a snooze. I'm always up between 5-6 every morning. I went out again after 2, the driveway is in shade by then. I removed the seats from the Belair, I'm having then done over and will drop them off today. It was a real dog of a job, I found that taking off the sill plates and peeling back the carpet makes it a ton easier. I called my buddy down the block to help me load everything into my Equinox. I had everything put away by 6 and headed inside, by 8:30 the TV was watching me. I woke up at 11:45 and formally went up to bed and the cat followed me.

I did an OG AMT '32 Ford coupe last year, think it was a '61 or '62 issue. I was thinking I would have problems getting the interior in place... wrong... it snapped in and needed no glue. The same for the glass. The chassis sort of floated around, I had to pin that so it stayed put.

I will have to try that. I find it tough to cook for just me most of the time. Goya makes some great rice sides that everyone likes. I often buy the 3-pack of the yellow rice, serve it with red, pink or black beans.

I had angina attacks for 3-4 years leading up to my HA. I had it pegged for something related to my back injury since I had no pain up front and it was on my right side. Towards the end they were coming closer and closer together. I could be doing nothing, getting ready for work, watching TV, once while shopping at Ace Hardware. It stopped me in my tracks and it would pass in a couple of minutes. My brother had a stent done when he was 41, it got him another 24 years and he was having chest pains while on his road bike. So last year they took out the old stent and put in 2 new ones. He is fine now. I likely may need a stent or it may be time to fix the bad valve.

I buy model parts mainly on eBay. I got no complaints with Iceman. There are maybe 3 or 4 others on there I buy from as well.

I have a couple of Revell kits, I also like their '37 coupe. The AMT chassis is just too outdated for me these days.

Mine lasted only 2 minutes, but scary as it gets. I was told that the erratic heart beat was normal for the test. I was okay to drive home... had a beer immediately after and lunch at Taco Bell. So Thursday I was wrapped up changing my pool filter motor, only 3 trips to the pool store. Finalized the interior plans for my '66 Belair. Saturday my son came over and we trimmed 2 big limbs off a maple tree. I'm getting a shed and needed more clearance. By 10... hot and sticky. Really more than what I should have been doing. After that we hit the pool and cooled off.

I have the same kit started from years back. I got the roof-to-body fit perfect. And that was about it. The story of my modeling life... back in the box. VCG Resins has a nice flattie with options. The one from the '48 Ford kit is also quite good. Another back in the box tale....

I was told by an old time heart doc that the treadmill test is 75% accurate and the induced one is more like 95%. But most insurances won't spring for the fancy test. I must have had bad blockages for years leading up to my 2016 widow maker. I would get winded walking up 2 flights of stairs, I had a back pain that was actually angina attacks, for a few years. Yeah, my heart was doing the funky chicken towards the end too. Erratic heart beat, blood beating in my ears. It lasted 2 minutes, felt like 2 hours. I'll see what happens when I see him on the 26th. I would not be surprised if I needed a stent. I also have a valve they keep an eye on. Likely this test captured that too.

I had a stress test done 2 days ago, the PET scan one. I get one every 3 years. The test has some creepy moments to it, elevated heart rate especially. I go back next week, they said if anything bad came up, they would call me before. No news is good news. I had a cold beer immediately after I left and lunch at Taco Bell. Yesterday I got my new pool filter motor and pump dropped off. I spent the day switching it all over and it WORKS. I have to get the timer hooked up if it isn't fried. The old motor is from 2003... and it was... old. I knew the plug was getting hot and tried a replacement first. I took the old plug apart and it was extra crispy. I should have stopped right there. I seem to be on top of my lower back pain for the first time in months. This is something muscular according to my pain doctor. I scuffed up my veggie garden and fed all the plants too.

I ditched FB 5 years ago due to family issues, politics bickering I needed to avoid. So this is it for me. I'll likely keep posting my stock car builds here and only here.

They had quite a gear reduction, but it was WORK to hoist a car up.

I'll have the '66 Belair with me most likely.
