  1. Looks like the ever popular AMT Chevelle.
  2. What I tend to do while I'm building is make sure the glass fits the opening as tight a securely as possible - without glue! Then when it's time, hold it exactly in place and put a few small drops of Krazy glue (I find it sets quick and doesn't fog) in places where it contacts the body best. Hold it in place for a few seconds and add more glue when it dries. I don't like the white glue method because invariably, sometime in the future, it's going to fall off and then you have to take it all apart to fix it. More than likely, without a positive outcome. JM 2 pennies.
  3. Pr Problem there is the upholstery pattern is different too. SS interior. Standard bench interior. If you're going to have to make a bench anyway, might as well start from scratch or use a seat with no pattern on it so you wouldn't have to clean it all off before you can even start. Good luck!
  4. No, I don't expect prices to go down, I just need them to be stable for a while. Seems when every quarterly issue is announced, prices are up a buck at a time. And you're right, buying power goes down, so I can't budget for all the ones I'd like to get. So I guess I'll have to only get the few I absolutely, really want! Which is a shame, as it only hurts the manufacturer in the long run. They are putting out great subjects, but higher prices limit the amount of total sales. Seems like they're shooting themselves in the foot.
  5. And it would be molded in "Mellow Yellow" Quite right!
  6. And the price creep continues...
  7. That would be called the Dono-Van!!
  8. My Maserati does 185. I lost my license, now I don't drive.
  9. As much as I like the subject matter and the decals are GREAT! I just wish they would've dusted off the MPC version and put this theme on that one. The MPC van includes a full interior that just lends itself to this motif.
  10. It's ok, we'll have this and the Racers Wedge to choose from. I do hope it comes with the white wall tires shown on the box. I can never have too many of those. Especially 70s wide tread tires.
  11. Awesome story. No doubt it's in better hands now then it would've been to a 12 year old.
  12. With the decals provided in their many other kits, I'm sure they're going to be extensive and impressive.
  13. Now that's money well spent! I'm all in on this one, I want to get 2 or more.
  14. I can't stand to see you suffer, unload them to me! ?
  15. If scale is no issue - the Monogram 1/8 scale 82 and 85 Z28s are hands down the best out there. Next would be their 1/24 scale 82 and 85 snap kits. Bodies are almost perfect and you can replace the chassis parts from the T/A for better detail. I can't understand why Monogram didn't do a glue kit of the Camaro. IMO theirs would have been the best.
  16. Excellent news, I'm glad to see they're taking the time to make it right, rather than just running it and catching the fallout later. Good business decision, Round 2!
  17. I set mine up to look EXACTLY like yours!? Actually, it's from online so you're world-famous.
  18. Cool
  19. I'll bet quite a few readers here would beg to differ. Every time the topic comes up over this kit or the Grand Prix in general, most of the response is positive. I can see multiple generations and personalities liking something like this on the shelves. It's got a unique character that stands out. Kind of like that fun girl at a dance that's not model perfect but has too much charisma and personality to ignore.
  20. It's Christmas any time of the year that I get a box or large tote like that full of model stuff. I can spend hours or days sorting through all that. Great Score!
  21. Great trade with Tim McCain (lordgodbob). He shipped promptly and the kit was exactly as promised. Shipped and packed well! Hope we can trade again, Tim. By the way - who's Bob?
  22. Elvis owned the first one - a real one. Hand made body, split windshield, large size wheels (for the time). According to the Graceland website, he also owned 3 more, so Elvis really enjoyed his Stutz' (or would it be Stutzses) But you're right, the later one's were based on Pontiacs. No need to ruin this tool to get there. This one was Dean Martin's with the "Drunky" license plate.
  23. That's a generous friend! Looks....
  24. No problem Mike, glad to help. My suggestion would be to add strips to both sides, then sand flat the rear ridge (that'll also clean up the chipped corner). Then add a curved strip to fill the rear gap. Make it higher than the hood so that it will become the new ridge. Fill the transition with putty and voila! Hood should now fit. Make sure you glue the rear strip in at an angle so it still fits at the cowl. Hope this makes sense.
